And yes, Rob me. Payment, Late Payment charge, extortionate interest, and imbociles in call centres who can barely speak English let alone understand anything other than how to harass customers.
I'm sure the interest rate is what you have agreed to pay. The payment is what is due to them. Sorry to say this - but if this attitude of yours came over the phone to them, then I think they've earnt their late payment charge.0 -
If you bother to read the advice posted on this board and others about bank accounts, you are advised NOT to have all your accounts with the same financial institution.
Therefore move your personal account and business account away from Barclays to TWO different banks in TWO different banking groups. (The reason for doing this is Santander is combining all the banks they have under one name.)
And yes I'm sorry for your bereavement as many companies are cold hearted in this country about people's losses but the bank is allowed to do this in their T&Cs, and won't be able to if your personal and business accounts are placed in two different banking groups.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Its legal and its shocking, ive had the same with Lloyds at which point I ceased using the bank account and opened a HSBC that same day.
And yes get an account with a completely different bank with no connections to your creditors.0 -
NEVER use a credit card from the same bank as your current account ...
I only used to have barclays visa and master card and a barclays current account, i missed a payment and they turned off all my cards including my debit cards .....
keep your credit cards with separate company's and as said use direct debits.0 -
or pay your bills on time via D/D and no one will 'steal' anything from you. dry your eyes.0

Does this mean that Barclays, MBNA, Nationwide and Capital One rob me every month?
I'm off to see the old bill................0 -

Yes mate, don't forget the water board and energy company. And BT.
All robbing you blind. How dare you spend their money / use their services, and have them help themselves to a contribution towards the costs you've incurred. Especially if you've signed agreements to say they can do this whenever they please!
Amazing what the world is coming to when a bank can do something you agreed to let them do in contract, it really is :rotfl:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
