i'm waiting for some credits to appear on my CC, i'm hoping they clear asap as the statement date is either tomorrow or friday, but i also need the statement to be done asap so i can fill up my car with petrol. Double edged sword really. Plus even though they credited my payment on the 13th it's not come off the available balance yet online which is bizarre.

Definitely not any more patient! :D

There's nothing more annoying than them hanging onto payments before they credit them to your CC.

    Morning Woo and everyone.
Still no sign of activity on my account today. I'm getting itchy feet as I want to do another transfer on the weekend (I have until the 30th to get it done but still...). How are things for everyone else?

    Morning Elmer

Why are they so slow! We all know these things can be instant when it works in their favour!

  • Morning everyone!

I had the same thing happen when I made a payment on OH's credit card last week, the money left his account one day and appeared on the credit card statement two days later! The accounts are both with the same bank so they must have just been holding on to it for a few days

I'm waiting for a few transactions to go out of my current account but one thing that was pending for the last few days is now no longer pending but hasn't come off my account either, it's like it's just disappeared! What's all that about?! :o

Think banks are just a law unto themselves!

i know banks are a law unto themselves! and they don't know what they're actually doing. What i always remember was in a previous job we had an overdrawn account at work, the bank mucked up payments in so i argued that they owed us on account of the interest they were charging us when we shouldn't have paid it. They literally couldn't figure out how much that would be so i plucked a number out of the air (i never gave up the arguement) and they accepted it without query! How can they not know what interest rate they're charging and then work out how much they charged unnecessarily?
