it was lovely, there were a lot of folk who'd travelled quite a way as well as my local family so it was lovely to catch up with them. We were MSE and conscious of costs as it was a lovely chinese buffet
at the actual wedding we barely got 5 minutes with people before others wanted our attention so it was a lovely catch up.

Me too so lets step it up together. I have just opened an everyday saver account with Barclays as will be easier to save there than in the BS (transfer money, bank easier to get to etc). Hoping this will spur me on to get it sorted - 2 years max before DF please not the 4 odd years it COULD take.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. I think I might start concentrating on my overdraft instead of my Lloyds card, I'm not sure what to do.
My Lloyds card is the higher apr, and is costing approx £40 in interest, my overdraft costs me approx £47 per month, and I don't actually pay a penny of this off.
Also my overdraft is for a lesser amount and it would be nice to clear at one debt this year!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

we like many people had an overdraft, no credit cards( not strong enough to handle them properly)
last spring we were told our overdraft was being reduced and then we were told it would be reduced by £500 each month. income had reduced because of this recession. we couldnt meet the restrictions so last summer it was completely taken off us, caused no ends of problems for us as we had always lived in our od, christmas we finally paid it off and the account is now closed:j never been so happy to get rid of something in my whole life. now working to pay all the arrears built up due to them bouncing dd . dont know if that helps at all:DMAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

Hi, thanks for your post.
That is what makes me nervous about the o/d, they can recall it at any point!
I have decided to start tackling it now, as psychologically it will feel good to clear at least one debt this year. It also feels like such a waste of money as I don't even clear a penny of this per month at the momeny.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I have now updated my signature to reflect that I am focusing on my overdraft instead.
I have also removed the amount that I owe my parents, just because there is no rush to pay this back and I want to ignore it at the moment! Psychological againLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
