I am fuming, my boss has just told me if all our legal completions dont come in tomorrow I will have to cover reception on Christmas Eve (not my job).

Who am I putting calls through to exactly when everyone else has been given the day off?

OMG how rude of him !! WARNING *** OH has just been to bank to take cash out over counter to pop into ther bank asap anyway the lady counted it out infront of him enveloped it up and oh went on way only to be told at other bank it was a 100 short he went straight back and saw the lady wheo made some excuse like ah sorry its happend before the ticket said correct amount but the cash was not right luckily they sorted it out but i have to say was that a scam for someone to take cash unknowing ?? :O

Oh woowoo - not good. I dont suppose he wants you to put the calls through to anyone, but to field enquiries/problems from callers - if so, surely that can be dealt with by answerphone message, perhaps with giving a mobile number in the event of emergency? that's what we do at our place... Or even divert the phone to a different number so you dont have to physically be in the office? Had you arelady been told you could take day off? if so, can you say you have plans?

Were closed for a whole week and the phones go to voicemail, it's because we have to get all our completions in but that happens by email which the Sales Director will be monitoring. If I say I have plans he will make someone else, so I don't want to do that.

Fingers crossed it all comes in tomorrow and it won't be an issue!
