Hey guys, I asked on my diary but not had response yet - how do you calculate your debt free date? I want to know what it would be without overpaying so I know what I have to beat xx

Kat i just set up an excel spreadsheet so i could track all the balances individually and see the difference even £1 could make. Obsessive moi??

about separate bank accounts, this is a measure i took when i was trying to get control of my finances way before my LBM but i've kept it going, though i have found that DD's have sneaked onto the 'living money' account if that's the only details i've had available when i've set up the DD.
I also set up the halifax account this year so i can get the £5 rewards, and as work will pay into different accounts it's worked well. I did worry about going overdrawn on it because of their silly charges but i've got it pretty much sorted now.

    Hey Woo :D

Glad you had a good night out and came in under budget :j. We are supposed to get quite a lot of snow here in the next few days although I wont get too excited yet! I bank with Natwest too and have actually found them quite helpful although I don't owe them anything so I guess that helps.

Looking forward to new figures tomorrow!

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

    Good morning

It's pay day today and I have cleared a further £432.20. Not a massive amount, but I have paid out £100 for a hen weekend next year and had to budget for the remainder of my Christmas Shopping, so am not too unhappy with this.

I now owe £11,488.36 in total - so I have gone sub £11.5k
Outstanding Lloyds balance is now £4,358.03

Only 13 pay day's remaining (very scary) am currently £3,043.02 short and I haven't even factored in things like nights out or a mini holiday next year so this could be more :(

I know I should feel happy, but today I just feel like it's never bloody ending lol!

  • Yay on being sub £11.5k :j:j:j

£432.20 is still a big chunk on the first day of a new pay! I haven't paid much to mine as of yet, but that's mostly because I still have quite a bit of Christmas shopping to do!

    £3043.02 isn't too much still to find over 13 pays...you'll find a way :)

I think I'm just sick of getting paid and having to give it all away instantly! Nevermind, the quicker it's gone the quicker my wages are all mine!
