I have decided to move Christmas back into my October budget as I keep seeing presents I want to buy and waiting to the end of November will stress me out!

I will still get into the £11's at the end of this month, it just means £150 less to Lloyds and I am happy with this.

Must stick to a tight budget this year!

Good luck with the Xmas budget!

Me and OH don't buy for each other to save money and me and the rest of my family are having another £10 year - we are not allowed to spend more than £10 on each person.

This keeps it cheap for everybody and is good because a lot of thought ends up going into things!

Also, whilst sorting through stuff at home the other day I found the present I had half-finished making for my Nan so gonna try and get that finished for this year.

How many do you have to buy for?

I thought I might get told off for moving it back into my October budget!

Me and the OH aren't buying for each, as were going snowboarding on Boxing Day so there doesn't seem much point.

    I have to buy for:

    2 God children (£50)
    Best Friend (£30)
    Best Friends step daughter (£10)
Brother and his new Girlfriend (£10)
    Sister (£15)
    Mum (£15)
Dad (already brought a book for £15)
    Work Friend (£20)

So total should spend should be £150.

Will try and sneak wrapping paper etc into the weekly shop without the OH noticing!

i've got to buy an xmas pressy this weekend as we've visitors coming who can take their pressy back with them. Usually i take more time to prepare but it's just twigged that we can save some postage if i get my derrier into gear.

Good thinking Lemon Tree, no point wasting money on postage if it can be avoided.

I am a nightmare at Xmas, I think on my spreadsheet I spent about £700 - £800 last year :o. I am really cutting down this year and only doing token gifts really, I do love having loads of presents for people to open but realistically, I can't afford it :(.

When I win the euromillions on Friday all that may change :rotfl:

OH has had his appointment, the lump is just a cyst but there is some calcium build up that they will keep an eye on.

We have to wait for them to write to him, but nothing to worry about it would seem.
