Welcome to all the newbies. And remember anyone with any ideas on how to make money from delivering leaflets, yellow pages, newspapers to babysitting, dogsitting, dogwalking, etc, please feel free to post and let us all know.

You never know your idea might just be the inspiration someone is looking for.

There are a couple more sites you can sell stuff, but they are not auction sites, so it would be a case of putting an amount and hoping someone buys it quickly at that price.

If you are a mum/dad/grandparent, try netmums.com they have a free nearly new noticeboard. The only thing is the boards tend to get full quite quickly, so if you find your items are getting pages behind, copy, delete and repost to bring them to the top again.

preloved is free to post http://www.preloved.co.uk/

priceminster http://www.priceminister.co.uk/info/home?t=7051&slid=100225160722024226 I think they are on one of the cashback sites, so if you are not going through a referral, try a cashback site first.

    carboot sales online http://www.ibootsale.co.uk/main/index.php

    Gumtree.com

Facebook - yes there is page for selling your items http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=225662125200&ref=ts although it can take a while to sell on there.

Quick question - how do you keep track of the dosh? Does anyone have a spreadsheet I could pinch? Also, do you just count purely money that has been paid to you e.g. cashback that has gone into your account, etc? Thanks guys!

Hi Sillyrabbit, I just update my signature whenever I make any money.

some people count money that they have "earnt" through MS and Cashback before it hits their account, others wait until is in their account. It is entirely upto you.

me, personally prefer to wait until it hits my account, as neither are guaranteed.

Signed me up for £5 a day. Five months into my maternity leave at the moment so could do to make some money. Obviously no overtime or second job possible at the moment but have sold on ebay before so will give that a go again. Any tips from people who have successfully done this previously appreciated.
  • Thanks for the reply aureol212.

  • Goodness me, you lot are keen. I didn't think there would be three pages already.

Thanks aureol for managing the thread this month. And good luck to everyone.

Can you put me down for £10 a day please. I am going to kick off straight away with £182 which is my council tax and water rates which don't go out this month. I transfer the money across to pay my debts so to me it counts. I have some Jane Norman clothes that I bought in the sale that are too small for me, (their sizes come out soooooo small), (or am I just soooooo large.):rotfl: They are brand new with tags so I might put them on buy it now for a wee profit.

I've never done buy it now items. Does anyone know if the fees are different from a straight auction?
  • Hello everyone! I'm another newbie so this is my first challenge. Can I start on £5 a day please.
