Iceland do have some good offers on branded goods (Heinz soup and the like) and as has been mentioned Quorn products but the quality of their own name products is really quite poor.

I agree with the good offers on branded goods. Needed some cheese the other week and cathedral city cheddar was 100% extra free, penguin bars was 100% extra free and there were loads of BOGOFs in the chocolate and biscuit aisle! I agree that a lot of things don't appeal, but in our town centre we only have M and S (who only sell own brand) and Iceland, so it does for emergencies!!

    tesco! ,
iceland are only any good when they have the £10 offers on , if you shop online with tesco then you can keep an eye on what you are spending and their value range isn't too bad

OK, a while ago on one of my threads someone asked me advice on whether I thought Tesco or Iceland was cheaper. Sorry but I can't remember who it was now so I can't PM it.

Anyway, this month I bought all the same things which are on this shopping list http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=237050&highlight=shopping+list but this month I used Iceland instead of Tesco and the final bill was a good £8.00 less than at Tesco. Plus they delivered it for free. So I think that gives you the answer. I will be shopping at Iceland from now on.

We've got all sorts of supermarkets near us and we tend not to be loyal to any of them...The tesco near us is awful...really packed all the time, can't bare it! Tend to find that most plaes are good for certain things..ie Farmfoods is fab for Veggie food...quorn mince 2 packs for £3! haven;t seen it cheaper than that unless it's on BOGOF somewhere. So if you've got the time...and it does take a fair bit...shop around.

Iceland is much better for cereal we've found lately

Sugar Puffs, Honey Loops etc all at £1, whereas Tesco is about £1.63
