Canon Smartbase 360 vista to windows 7 wireless network

Canon multipass mp360 printer attached and working via usb on desktop pc with vista. File & Printersharing on. On my new remote desktop PC with windows 7, I can see the printer as a wireless network device but cannot get the new PC to connect to it, when selected the New PC seaches for the drivers then goes on line to look for them and then gives up and asks to be pointed to a .inf file. There is none as far as I can see.

According to Canon website the printer is directly supported by Windows 7.

I only want to print in colour from my new machine which is under the tele so its not suitable to move the large printer next to the new machine.

I can & have connected to a samsung b/w laser wirelessly to the same vista PC so I can print remotely.

Any suggestions from anyone other than a hell of a long usb cable!

thanks

John
