Cheaper flights

Usually booking later means more expensive flights and broadly this is true BUT, I checked ebookers at lunchtime for flights to Egypt around £400 but could not book straightaway. The same day I checked again after 10.30 pm and booked the same flights £40 cheaper or saved £160 on a family of four. We all know that the price has nothing to do with the actual cost - it's a market. It would appear flights can be cheaper in the dead of night. Now, if you need a flight, please book it - this is not advice to leave it until later but, if it's late and you're thinking, "I'll book it tomorrow", don't. Stay up a bit longer and book'em (Danno) straightaway. What are other people's experiences?

Comments

  • Forgot to add, just as an experiment, I found a small saving on airport parking by booking very much later in the day. eg. a £66 parking fee at Heathrow became £63. Not much but interesting! However don't leave it to the next day and always book well in advance.
