Thank you for the poorly leg images ladies, you are brilliant xxx

Crafty JuJu, I've been having mild dizzy spells off and on for several weeks. Hope you are ok, have you been to see the GP?

Wanna-b-rich, no I didn't think you were pressuring us to make cards, I just didn't want you thinking I was ignoring the challenge. I have a idea of what I want to do in my head, just need to have a go at it now ;)

I've been chief tea maker at preschool's parents evening tonight. Found out how to use a tea urn ;) Maybe I should tell the MIL that this is something I can do... :rotfl: Just found out that book club is not happening next week as I thought but this Thursday  so need to get cracking reading the book, may be a late couple of nights ;)

Night all, I'm off to bed with my book... xxx
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

I have a big shot and I love it. I can use all the dies and emboss with it. Remember that sizzix have really good sales on too :) cutteingedgecrafts have the best prices for die cutting in general.

I paid £65 for it from Comet - but see that they've put it back upto £99. Dixons have it here for £71. xx

WBR Do you print backing papers on yours and if so what are the colours like? I print a lot of my own papers and my current HP printer gives a nice colour quality on the Tesco Finest paper and Rey 160gsm card (although not so hot on photos).

I've been reading reviews and on the whole they're pretty good. It mentions the resin based Durabrite ink which is supposed to be water resistant and smudge proof. Sounds good but it says the inks can set like glue if not used frequently and require multiple cleaning cycles. What's your experience?

I can't actually get a top load printer in my computer cupboard so I'd have to have it upstairs in the loft room where I do my crafting but that's where I keep my laptop so it wouldn't be a problem other than I run a bit short of space.
  • Evening - well I'm back from Marrakech no thanks to Ryan Air. Had a detour to Malaga on my way there and delayed for more than 3 hours and on the return the flight was delayed by about 3 hours again so not impressed!

Had a nice time although it was extremely hot there - 43 deg on Saturday I think!!!!

Have been busy making some bag charms for my nieces birthday party on Thursday - she will be 9. Now I have to make some boxes for them and also make her a card!!!

Hope everyone is good. Not had a chance to read back as too many pages and will be too behind to do the blogs also so will start from now I think!!!

Have I missed anything?? Any news/gossip!!!!! Any bargains???? LOL!!!

Lei yes please if you don't mind that would be fab, I was going to do a template of these paper mania boxes, they were only £2 when they should have been £2.99

Rusty i've emailed you a basic shaker box and the Love Heart one I designed got my GDT project - hope they're of some use to you. Well done on you're weight loss btw you're doing amazing!

Gemm glad your craft fair went well and you covered the cost of your stall. At least you know what sold well for next time...
Lei - sorry meant to post yesterday, I have this "scene its" and I love them. I have the Lavinia Silhouettes on my to buy list atm.

Wanna-b-rich I never thought to get a disk of images! There were soo many gorgeous stamps I didn't know where to start so got a couple of Create A Scene stamp sets instead. I had a play with some silhouette stamps and Distress Inks yesterday and did this:

Evening all, or should I say morning!! I can't sleep so have come back downstairs to watch some tv!

Lei thanks for the file, will catch up on blogs later or even before I go back up depending on how many there is! Love the silhouette picture. Are you still losing weight? How are you getting on? Xx

Rainmac - what sort of image are you looking for? Sorry I have forgotten since reading back! Sorry about your MIL some people just don't think, try and ignore, not easy I know but you are better than them!

Welcome back PONR, and also all of the others who have been missing in action! Lovely to see you back!

Can't remember who asked why I wanted test tubes? Well some of the lovely ladies on here filled them with tic tacs and put a christmassy tag on them, there were also Rudolph spares which were red sweets in little favour tins!

Can't remember what else I have read, but I plan to craft a little tomorrow! Feel lost today as I had planned to craft but OH has run me ragged taking cars to garages etc! Who sent me the spendy elves? I have just bought some hangar stamps off eBay! Expensive but hopefully worth it plus I can probably get my money back when I come to sell! Will try and catch up tomorrow! Xxx

P.S anyone who gets card from papermill at royal quays, don't waste your time, been there today and they have closed!! Not sure when that happened but now our nearest one is the metro centre which I hate!

I do use mine to print backing papers and the quality is excellent (I use the Tesco paper and at the moment I'm using Poundland Cardstock). I'm using Epson photo paper atm so don't know what the quality would be like on other makes, but the colour quality on that is brilliant.

I've not experienced any "gluing up" with Epson inks, but then my printer is in use daily. They are water and smudge resistant - I've used my for water colouring digi stamps and obviously for my Promarkers. The ink cartridges seem to have a really good life span too - I'm still on my original carts and I've had my printer since April. It's been telling me I need new ones for about a month, but I'll just ignore it until it runs out.

The beauty of having a wireless one is that you can shove it anywhere you have space. Like you say, there are loads of reviews out there and the whole they are good. Hth

Lei - that card is stunningly beautiful. Which stamps have you used? I played around with silhouettes and distress inks a few weeks ago (the results of which are on my blog) and I loved it. I used a digital image from Stitchy's Stamps and some other acrylic stamps that I have, got good results with both. I haven't got a disk of the stamps - just got that set of stamps (some of the sets come with a DVD showing you how to create scenes, mine didn't though). Meant to say your GDT creations are gorgeous too. x
