Talking of winners, I know it has been posted a few times before but if someone has the patience can you describe how I enter challenges as I really want to start having a go

This is the way I do it, easiet and quickest way for me.

Find some challenges that fit your card (Mel has a fab list on her blog). Have a window open for each challenge (I do right click>open in new tab so that they're all in a line at the top) and keep them open until you've finished. Make sure you're a follower of that challenge blog so that blogger will notify you of new posts and you can keep track if you're a winner, you need to claim the prize, they wont tell you.

Blog your card and then do something like "I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges" then start listing your challenges, e.g.

XYZ - Challenge 99 - Spots and dots

Highlight the XYZ and do the linky thing with the world and chain link (like doing a link on here) so that you can put the URL of the challenge - you have to have a link back to them.

When you've listed all your challenges then go to the challenge blogs and enter your card, usually via Mr Linky or Blue frog, that will give them a link to your entry. You must put a link just to that post not to your whole blog, and they like word verification turned off. Check that your entry comes up on their page, you should see it at the bottom and it will have a number.

You can check my blog to see how I've done it if that's not clear. I think I'm rambling today :rotfl: .

I keep a note of all those I enter just to remind me if I fall behind with checking blogs.

Hope that all makes sense and good luck with any challenges you enter.
  • Rusty Sorry to hear that Gdad in law is poorly. Hope you still get to enjoy camping. Will be thinking of you xx

Rainmac + Choccy - it's a shame when people 'disappear' from our little community, of course we all have other things to do that cause us to 'dip out' from time to time as well as techie troubles without starting on the prospect of post going astray. They could just be reading - on here you never know.

I sometimes wonder though, especially with those who seemed to really enjoy the chat, if they are poorly or something and if I'd seem like a :eek:dreadful stalker  if I contacted them :o Before I make a fool of myself I'd welcome your thoughts...........

I did the same but I don't think she minded at all.

I personally don't think people would mind if we contacted them via other methods as they were happy to give their address details for the list.

I'm one that finds that some days I just can't keep up. Life gets in the way, other things to do, and when you come back the thread has moved on very quickly and there's not enough time to catch up.

If I was missing for any length of time which made someone wonder if anything was up, I wouldn't mind anyone contacting me, I'd be honoured that they thought enough of me to care. I think this particular part of the forum has a very special, caring community and probably none of the regulars would mind anyone contacting them.

Today I got up very late (oh the joys of being retired), needed to do some house things (which I still haven't managed!), wanted to get into the garden as we've had a couple of days of rain this week, wanted to update my garden blog (it's here if anyone wants a look), etc. etc., wanted to read a bit more of my Creativity mag, wanted to discuss having a little holiday with OH, needed to wash and blow dry my hair as I'm going out tonight, etc., so have fallen behind again here. I find that I'm more likely to keep up with blogs first and foremost as I like to see what you've all been up to (I think that makes me nosey :rotfl: ).

So if you don't see me for a while, or I miss anything out in my replies, it's just that I got sidetracked and so far behind I couldn't keep up!
