PONR - Sorry to hear about your friend I do hope they have caught it soon enough and he recovers well. The treatments (as you know with your auntie) can be grim but please don't despair my MIL had bowel cancer nearly 30 years ago and will be 90 in November. ((hugs for you))

Congratulations ******** What a super prize.

I know what you mean. One of my friends husband has just been diagnosed with bowel cancer a year after losing his job. He is only in his 40's with two little girls.

Awww that is terrible - hope he gets through it all. Such a young age as well, life just isn't fair.

Marg - that is great, it is lovely when you hear of people that have beat it. 90 is a fab age for anyone let alone someone who has had and beaten cancer!! Well done to your MIL:T

That is super to hear especially as that was 30 years ago and amazing medical advances have been made since then.
