Happy birthday skiergirl hope you have a fab day XXXXXXX looks like tired mom has beaten me to the cake today! And a lovely one it is!

Melissa and furry pig, I hope your posty brings your things today, I posted them first class yesterday. Melissa yours was in a 12x12 pizza box incase you aren't in, sorry!

I'm off to see grandad in law tonight, kids know he has lost his leg so hopefully there won't bee too many questions, however the nurses in the new hospital are quite nasty to him including leaving him to wait for over an hour to bring him a bottle he can use for the toilet bearing in mind he can't walk! I dare them to be nasty to him tonight and I will kill em!

Oww you can never have too much cake and it is soo low calorie! Hope your visit to GIL goes ok, my nan only had one leg and the children accepted it as normal, there again it's all they'd ever known. Why do some people think that elderly people don't deserve their dignity though that really frustrates me.

Dragonllew - glad it arrived safely. Think Kaitlyn's PO lady was behind the counter when I went to the PO on Saturday morning, weighing it & measuring it in every direction with the sourest face & eventually having to let it go. Sounds like your day yesterday was a bit like mine, I'm hoping for a quiet time today but not holding my breath.

Rusty - hope all goes well @ the hospital tonight.

Padster - Poor cat! Think we had a cloudburst here it was raining so hard it woke me about 4:30 & radio is saying there's some local flooding. Luckily I got back to sleep. Enjoy your peace & quiet.

Sorry dragon I thought I'd already posted a thank you - it arrived on Friday and is sat in pride of place on my mantelpiece - the cat was just sat next to it :o

    :j Happy Birthday Skier :j

Poor cat be blowed - she's already got her own back by being sick on the carpet - fortunately I spotted it as I came down the stairs with arms full of washing or I would have stepped in it :mad:

We had quite a bit of rain here last night - waterbutt is full again and grey and cloudy now but still incredibly hot :( Have tidied spare room and found loads of bits for the school sale - they don't really "do" handmade stuff here so am not going to bother this year

    Thinking of you Gemma

OK I'll change it - Poor Padster! We've got one like that - can't be bothered to get out of his bed or off the mat to throw up so it would be on the laminate instead.

Paddington . Thank you for letting me know .

Gemm Hope everything goes ok today .

Skiergirl . Happy birthday hope you have a fab one.

We had carly's hospital appointment yesterday morning , went to hobbycraft in the afternoon , then spent rest of day finishing packing for the twins and collecting suitcases from my dad , no 1 son and his g/f . Full house last night as no 1 son and his g/f decided to stay over to save collecting them this morning . 5 o'clock this morning we picked up dad he was giggling like a schoolboy he was so excited . and dropped the 5 of them at meadowhall to catch their coach to Heathrow then they fly to colorado this afternoon the lucky devils.

    Happy Birthday Skiergirl :bdaycake:

More winners - well done, this thread is on a roll :T

Glad you're all managing to get your Creativity mag, they certainly sell quickly on that site, the free p+p makes all the difference. I had an email before 9am to say mine has been despatched, only ordered it about 7.30 last night.

Padster, lol at your cat getting his own back! My cat yaks when she's been greedy and yes, I have trodden in it late at night yukk! Luckily I had washable ballerine slippers on, I'd normally be barefoot .

Rusty How awful for your grandad-in-law. How is anyone supposed to hold on for an hour for a bottle??? I know I wouldn't manage it.

Gemma Good luck for today, I'm sure you'll know what's best to do.

Our steady rain last night turned to heavy rain with howling winds. Blew my tub of runner beans over and my poppies have been knocked about. If the tomato plants hadn't been tied to the window sill they'd have been knocked over too. It's sunny and breezy at the moment and a bit cool.

I've got some catching up to do in the house today as I was out all day yesterday, and Tuesday's cuppa and a natter day with my friend.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi All

Happy Birthday skiergirl. Hope you have a great day.
Rusty - hope the nurses are nicer to your grandad. Some nurses seem to think the older generation dont need to be treated with dignity. When my Nan was in hospital the aids were a bit rough with her, but she has always been fairly outspoken and said something quite vocally and things improved. Sometimes it is worth making your thoughts known.
Gemma - hope today goes well.
    Thanks for the freebies paddington.
It rained here in the night, so now is nice and fresh and the sun is out again.
I have posted my purple card on my blog for the challenge - cant remember who was doing it.
I have also posted the me to you bear sampler that craftygranny sent me, so you can see how far I have got. I need to finish it by 6th July for DD birthday!
I need to get on and pot some new plants that I have, hopefully the rain has done them some good.
    Hugs to all. xx
