Tomsmum - I'm with you! If I see the first 6 o'clock in a day there's something wrong. :) Don't know how easy it would be & it wouldn't look tidy but I once put jamjars round strawberry fruits once they'd set to help ripen but it might deter Mrs Blackbird.

Our escallonia is a darker pink and is very vigorous mmm.... wonder if I could do cuttings of it. Am just going to take a pic of a clematis that is looking great at the moment - it's been here longer than us & had a few single flowers in the past but this year they seem to have come out like "doubles".
  • Lovely day here, apart from my thoughtless neighbour who always without fail goes out and starts drilling and hammering and repairing his van when the sun comes out!

I've just been glossing a fimo strawberry cake that I made last night - wish it was a real one!!!

Have to make a couple of cards so need to try and fit that in later but the fimo is addictive!!! I've just ordered a book on Amazon for it!!

The-Wife - sorry to hear that your friend has found that she has cancer in her ovaries. This is what my auntie has and she has recently been operated on. Will be going with her for her chemo again next week. It's an awful thing - hope that they are able to treat your friend.

    Hi All

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post, but I'm after suggestions on the best place to find insert paper?

I'm making my wedding order of service and have the covers in pearleascent white A4 card folder in half. I'm now after the paper insert which I've heard you can buy which is slightly smaller than A4 which fits in nicely?

Hi :) I have no idea about best places for insert paper, sorry :( The only place I can think of to try is the Papermill Shop. You could buy A4 paper and cut it down? I am sure someone else will be able to help more x

Want to say a huge thank you to wanna-b-rich for the most gorgeous ATC and card she sent me, they are stunning, will blog them in a little while so you can all see them x

DS2 has gone back to preschool today, he seems much better thank goodness.

Rusty, big hugs to you, well done for talking about how you feel and finding an alternative rather than jacking it in xxx

TheWife, so sorry to hear about your friend :( Off to the craft place tomorrow (shhh, haven't told OH yet) so will look out for your nesties xxx

I am gong to a Baby Shower tonight, I need to make salads to take and we are going to order pizza. A friend is a nurse and she gets 50% off at Dominos. You'd think the NHS staff would get half price veg boxes or cheap gym membership, no they get reductions at Dominos!!!

Afternoon all. A flying visit from me, where has this week gone??

I've popped on here to say I've blogged the gorgeous ATC and card that Rainmac sent me (a bit late I know). She's so organised that I feel I must apologise to her for not blogging her lovely creations sooner and also for not sending out my makes earlier. Anyway, thank you Rainmac you were a fab swap partner. x

Gemm - Thank you so much for organising the swap. I've never done anything like this before and really enjoyed it.

There's way too many pages for me catch up on, but I just wanted to say

    The-Wife
    - I hope your friend makes a full recovery.

PONR - hope your aunts appointment goes well and that she's not left feeling to poorly afterwards.

Tomsmum - hope you've recovered from your shock. Also, I haven't forgotton you, I stil have my beady eye out!

Scatty - Hope you sort the house thing out.

    Congratulations to *******

    Rusty -
don't know if you posted since you blogged, but I hope you got over your little wobble the other day and have managed to stay on track. You've done brilliantly so far and I'm sure it was just one of those days! Will await the next update on your blog. x

Also, I got my goodies bought with my prize money from Bunny Zoe's Crafts. What a fantastic service - less than 24 hours from ordering to me receiving my goodies.

I'm really sorry if I've missed anyone, but got a hot date with the hoover (DH's home today - yipppeee) and I don't want him to think I've spent all week crafting (not that I have of course)!

Thanks wbr - it's a double chemo session so not pleasant - not that chemo is pleasant in any form.

My order from Grafton Crafts just arrived, really impressed as I only ordered yesterday. My X-Cut Botanical Embossing leaf punch is fab - so glad I got it!! Will look great with flowers on cards.

Well houseworks not getting done - just a phonecall from one of my friends and she's won a holiday to Florida, so as you can imagine there's been much squealing and jumping up and down ( and that was just me). Poor girl is busting to talk to her DH and where is he?? Stuck on the M25 along with mine! I'm so pleased for her, cos she's had a horrid couple of years, so this will be brilliant for them.

PONR - I've got the ivy punch and love it, which one did you get? I keep looking at the rose leaf. I wish they'd bring out a nice flower punch range as the embossing is brilliant on them

ScattyJan - I'm glad to hear that you're feeling a bit clamer now about the house.

There's a huge summer sale on at Angel Crafts - the new MME So Sophie papers have been reduced to 74 or 75p a sheet so I've just bought loads. There's also a few cheap paper pads, loads of cheap flowers and a few really cheap October Afternoon papers - I bought a couple of packs of rub ons to go with the papers that I've already got.

Wanna-b-rich - I bet your friend is so thrilled !!!

Choccy - thanks for letting me know - can't wait for it to arrive!!!

The-Wife - sorry to hear about your friend.

Littlerose12345 - welcome to the thread - I agree with Rainmac - it would be so much cheaper to just cut the papers yourself!
