Good morning everyone. You've probably noticed I've been absent for a few days, not been away just been a bit quiet after Sunday's shock of the neighbour and getting on with a few other things. I don't know where the time has gone. I might not have been on here but I've kept up with blogs and commented. I think I have most people, just found out I wasn't following *********'s but I am now.
Anyway, welcome to Artydoll (I will follow your blog next time I look), well done to ********** on Top 3, Rusty you're doing so well, keep at it!
ScattyJan OOh, shock about the house! Did you have a full structural survey? We had one on ours and it threw up a very major problem with the loft which would have eventually brought the house down. Enabled us to renegotiate the price, we paid £30,000 less which was the estimated cost of rebuilding the loft completely and everything is fine now.
Sorry to those I've missed but hugs and well dones where appropriate. I'm going to try and make a card today, I've made a list of challenges so shall try and do one to fit a few.0 -
Morning everyone
We didnt have a full structual survey we went for the home buyers report - It was our surveyor that brought all this to light - she has been absolutly fantastic - Hubby spent another half hour last night on the phone to her and she has advised on what relevant paper work needs to be seen etc (our solicitor would want these anyway) but she was just going over it all to give us piece of mind I guess, apparently the TV crew were there 2 weeks but the building crew a lot longer and all that the rougue builder had done the building inspector had undone - our survetor has said the same as us the next step is to take a builder around and she has pointed us in the right direction as to what he should look for - I am coming round to it all, it was just such a bomb shell , had a nice calm day making a few cards and shall continue in calm mode today and make a few more
Welcome Artydoll
Love to you all

 Tomsmum - I had missed you on here but I seemed to be following you commenting on blogs so didn't organise a search party! Sometimes you just have to let 'real life' take over. I'm curious - did you find out what your neighbours plant is?
Dragonllew - Panic here! just been getting your swap stuff ready & can't find the bits from the wedding cake shop:eek: I think they may be in the car & DH is out in it hope he gets back soon enough for me to post today or it will defo be Monday.0 -

Yoo Hoo Marg! Oh yes, I'd forgotten to mention the plant (I do have a brain somewhere, but it plays hide and seek some days :rotfl: ). Yes, it was an escallonia, variety Apple Blossom. It's a lovely colour, beautiful delicate flowers and when it's in full flower I think it's stunning. OH has taken a couple of cuttings and they seem to be doing nicely in a little pot at the moment. I think I'd rather buy an established plant as it would be a reasonable size and grow a bit quicker but let him have a play, keeps him happy.
We netted the strawberry towers yesterday after the mommy blackbird had eaten all 7 ripe ones on Wednesday morning, blow me she was back this morning (6 am according to my neighbour - blimey, are there two 6 o'clocks in a day???!!!) and ate the only two which were just about ripe. Walked all over the netting until she found she could perch on the edge of the basket thing. We need to think again, at the moment the score is Blackbird 11 - Us 4!!!!!!!!0 -
