hi all, just popping on so you dont all think I am being ignorant, I have been reading along but not felt very chatty. I got on OK at docs, have increased my dosage and been signed off for a few weeks initially. havent felt like crafting today, although the GP says I must try and do things I enjoy to pull myself up a bit. hope maybe I'll get something made tomorrow, sending hugs to everyone xx
p.s. Nici glad you are feeling better today, and happy birthday to scattyjan xx0 -
Kelly-Lou - big hugs to your daughter for being such a brave girl. I remember getting my adenoids removed, they used to insist you had a packet of crisps to eat before you left the ward:eek:
Ali - I hope your son hearing test went ok. I've been there and done that over the years so many times. My poor mum had to stop coming in with me after a while as she couldn't help but react when they were making the test tones on the machine. I guess it would be easy to cheat and just press the button when I saw her flinch! lol, that would confuse them.
Well I'm just getting ready for bed while playing Dean Martin on my ipod, it rather fab. Except I keep breaking out in to song. Which would be fine except I am a hopelessly flat singer anyway, and I can't hear myself at all with headphones on so I'm probably loud and out of tune. Its the wonder my kids haven't got up to complain!!! :rotfl:
I've had a quite good day today, feeling abit guilty about how I was yesterday and how low I got but I'm trying to put it behind me. I'm hoping this means my change of meds has kicked in now and things will be easier now.
Hubby home tomorrow so Im looking forward to dumping kids on him on sunday! Think I deserve some peace (if you see what I mean, obviously being deaf I am inpeace, sort of.... )
Good grief, I've only just realised that when I click for more smilies that the list scrolls to the right and there are 2 colums! I wondered where the other ones I'd seen come from...what a muppet I am :rotfl:.
Right I think I should go to bed before I embarrass myself.
Sweet dreams everyone and have a lovely weekend all xx0 -
Evening all. Got back about 2 hours ago, unpacked and first lot of washing out on the line. I have two days to turn around before Centre Parcs, five cards to make and 21 pages to catch up on . DS woke up as we arrived home and so is still awake as taken the edge off his tiredness.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful week in this glorious sunshine and if anybody is needing hugs please have some from me.
Right I have a slice of toast, glass of wine and I am going to get reading.

Hello,
We have had another busy day today we took the children to the camel trail and then on to Padstow,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCATTY glad you have had a lovely day. We went to Swindon and Bristol yesterday hobbycraft was lovely to walk around but a bit more expensive we have a shop down here called Trago mills and all the docraft stuff is soooo much cheaper, ( and yes I have popped in there today )
I'm now off for some sleep take care Jo xTake care Jo x0 -
Gemm glad to see you come on here. At least you are off work for bit. Take each day as it comes and give the meds a chance to help balance you a bit. Seems to take a while, I know I'm not very patient and want them to start working straight away. Set yourself one easily achievable target for the day, but be flexible. If you have to change that as the day goes on don't feel bad. I find keeping a list of what I have done helps. Sometimes its just something small, like wiped kitchen table, or put on washing machine. I find it quite positive to read back and see I have achieved something. Or do it in reverse and write a list of things that need doing. I find it very therapeutic taking a thick pen and scoring off each job as I've done them. (Sometimes I add on jobs if they not on list, just so I can score them off....)
Anyway, I might not be the best to help given I'm not the most balanced at the mo but I'll be on here if you ever want to chat. Feel free to pm me for email or just to chat.
Sleep well

Gemm I am so glad you had a productive appointment with your GP.. If you can manage a short walk every day that helps, pheramones ???in brain give you an up feeling.. or something like that...??? Exercise is supposed to help anyway... in a gentle sort of way.. I wonder if crafting counts???
As Niki says, take each day as it comes...
Nikki So glad you are sounding better.. hopefully your tabs have kicked in now as you say.. and enjoy your Sunday..
Tiredmom Welcome back..Hope you had a good time.. You have a lot to cram in in two days!!! I think the weather tomorrow is good, so you can catch up with all your washing.. it's the ironing that's a pain, especially in this weather, but unfortunately, it is supposed to break on Sunday...

I had a fab day. I got some crafting bits and a huge bunch of flowers from the boys and hubby took me to manchester to see Lady gaga and we stayed over night. I can't tell you enough how amazing she was. She isn't as nutty as she makes out and has the biggest voice ever.
We then went shopping today and spend some of my birthday money. I think i will crack open the chocs now.
I also want to say sorry for not sending any cards myself yet. I have lost the listcould someone maybe scan it me and email it to me to save on posting it again. Thanks.
Happy birthday to you ScattyJan :j
Glad you had a good day Louby, how dreadful that you didn't receive any cards from family/friends. If you haven't had the list emailed to you already, PM me with you email addy and I will scan mine and get it sent to you.
I half made a card this afternoon after I caught up with the housework, been out with friends tonight and am now going to try and catch up with blogs.0 -
Just wanted to remind everyone that Creative Craft World are currently doing a scrapbook page challenge.
If any of our lovely card makers are scrapbookers too ? or a card maker that fancies having a go ? Theres details here
You have just over a week and so far theres only 2 enteries, Both of which i think wont be included in the draw as they are actually cards, not Scrapbook pages :rotfl:
(So a good chance that someone on here could be a winner) Its a great American Crafts prize too
furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

Hi, sorry its late but I need a moan about something that happened at work tonight & hubby is fast asleep so you lucky ladies have to hear about it...
Theres a lady I work with that I found out last week is making the bottle top & donimo pendants....all I did was ask where she finds the best place to buy Resin (as we do on here) & she turned her back & mubbled 'oh you want to copy me now' I was in shock, I know she can be funny sometimes but shes always been ok with me. I later tried talking to her & she just didn't want to know, I've just been on Facebook to say to her to have a good weekend to find she has unfriended me  is it just me or does this all seem a bit childish!? Its not like I've even got the same style as her or am going to be stealing sales from her as soooo many people do it!!! Can you tell I'm alittle p****d  I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it just does, I'm always nice to everyone, if anyone asks me for some advice on something I'm doing or something I've bought I'd happily tell them....aaaaarrrrr
Moan over...sorry
Hope everyone has a great weekend & enjoys the sunshine xXx:wave:Hi, I have a passion for crafting.......I'm always up to something :rotfl::rotfl:
:j I have found the key to weight loss.....ZUMBA :j0
