Making cards - Ideas for beginners (part 4)

I've just managed to catch up on everything today after being out all day on Weds - the house was a complete dump!!! We're off to Chester Zoo tomorrow - so I've just finished buttering and filling 16 cobs and printing off a voucher that gets one of the kids in free!!! While I was looking for vouchers I found a section on MoneySupermarket.Com that I didn't realise existed for vouchers and its very good - I found some more money off ones for quite a few places to take the kids - every bit helps - I can't believe how expensive every where is now! Anyway here's a link:

Rusty - I didn't see much in the way of advertising for Dora or Diego but I did notice in one of the shops they were selling a lot of their merchandise. I think you can say that your mojo has definately returned and is back with avengeance!!! All your cards are lovely but I think my favourite is the baby pushing the pram - I really like the colours that you've used on this one and the border at the bottom is so pretty.
Paddingtondoo - great "stitchy" card - love the stripey paper!!!! Congratulations on another win!!!!!!
Giggle - huge congratulations!!!!!! Harley is a fab name and he is gorgeous!!!
Hogshead - A company called "we are memory keepers" sell something called a corner chomper that is meant to cut through chipboard - so it should be fine for mountboard - I think they're about £20 though - QVC stock them.
Lei-Armstrong - I'm so glad I finally got round to posting your images - thanks for telling me that they'd arrived - thanks so much for mine too. I love your cake card - the stitching looks fabulous - I must dig my machine out and try again!
Marg - I haven't watched any of the "3 in a bed" shows but I've taped them all - I must get round to watching them!
Gemm - I'm so sorry to hear that you're still feeling down - I hope things improve soon - sending you big hugs!!!!
Louby-Lou-Lou - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
OAP - that's great news!!!!!
Pointofnoreturn - your sock monkey is adorable and your door hangers are so pretty - is there no end to your talents????
Flourgirl - I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad - sending you hugs too!
Mad-Frog - fab cards - I love the image of the boy throwing a tantrum - and the papers that you've used are fab!!!! Your Kraftin kimmie card is lovely too - I love how you've created the corset effect with the eyelets and thread!
Nici - sorry to hear that you've been feeling down - I hope you feel better soon.
Rainmac - yeah - you've got a big shot too now - it was bigger than I thought it would be!!!0 -
Melissa - thanks you are too kind, I'm not at all talented just keep trying different things!!!!
Enjoy your day at the zoo - weather is going to be very hot so make sure you are loaded up with suntan lotion!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Dawn patrol here  been awake since 3.30am, silly me left a window open just a crack and guess who's singing his head off just outside? Yup! Mr Blackbird. He's imitating someones mobile phone now. The worms must be stirring somewhere
Well, the washing machine is on as is the dishwasher, updated my Tesco's order 'cos I woke up remembering stuff I forgot to order. I hate shopping and I'm so far away from anywhere I get Mr T to do it for me. It would cost me more than the delivery charge in petrol if I went and as soon as I leave work, well, that's my time and not to be wasted in supermarkets, I hate the places.
Kettles on, had me tea so now it's a coffee, cripes, there's some snoring going on, OH is in a real deep sleep. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Morning ladies.
Special hugs to Gem and Nici - I really hope you 2 can find your way through how you are feeling at the moment. Gemm - it is a shame your work are being so unhelpful.
Rusty - good luck with the weigh in- you'll be catching that OH of yours before you know it.
OAP - Fab news.
PONR - Love your sock monkey - I may have to borrow the idea.
Lovely makes on all the blogs everyone.0 -
Happy Birthday Scatty Jan!
Hope you have a lovely day.0 -
Morning all, well I've woken up feeling a bit brighter so I'm hoping my change of meds is starting to kick in. I put on a dress this morning and didn't have to change 3 times before deciding it didn't matter what I looked like. Normally feel so frumpy. I'm going to take it as a fresh start today and see how I get on. No plans this morning although really should attack the kitchen and try to sort out some of the mess in there.
I'll give up fairly quickly and decide the kids really need to do something crafty I'm sure. Haven't managed to get all the pink paint out dd hair from yesterday yet!
Kids have swimming lessons tonight so hoping t get organised and join them in pool after lessons for a while. No doubt they will want to visit MacDonalds on the way home to get some new plastic toy.
I'm hoping to get some crafting done tonight, even if it something simple like wrapping the empty boxes to make the boxes of love for the nursery fete.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, don't forget the suntan lotion and drink lots of fluid! (WOn't suggest what type, up to you...)0 -
