Evening ladies.
Happy Birthday to CraftyJuJu and Maddison and congrats to all our very worthy winners!
Thanks for the commiserations Marg - thank goodness it's just football!
I've had a bit of an odd day today but still managed a few little cards. DH took DS2 swimming and they got back about 1 - Ewan had fallen asleep and was pretty hot. I took his temp and it was 102 - so calpol urgently administered. He then proceeded to sleep till 5.30. He seems a lot better now and not so hot, knowing our luck with sleeping he'll be up some time in the early hours!
I've made a few notelet type cards following some STampin Up ideas on this ladies blog. I find it's a specifc style that doesn't come naturally (matching everything up!) but I do quite like the effect. Will blog tomorrow all things being well!
Enjoy your bank holiday everyone.0 -
Good evening ladies
Thanks for all the links I will have a good look. Not sure what I would got the most use from the ultimare pro or a die cutting machine. Which is the cheapest/best machine to get
I've been crafting for a few years and just ordered my first proper die cutter. It is possible to get along without one and I would maybe see if you can see some demos in a craft shop or have a hands on go at the ones you are considering to see if that helps you decide what you like best:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Dragonllew Congrats on your win...
Rusty Hope Maddison enjoyed her party.. hope you were ok during it and didn't suffer too much with your pain or sadness....
Fab colouring of the camera a few pages ago... and I have come to the conclusion after reading all the trauma people have with drs or consultants.. (all men stop reading now for fear of being unimpressed..) but they do tend to be men and I do not think they understand that women do tend to have a high pain threshold.. take for instance we have children.. if it was men who gave birth, the human race would have died out long ago.. I would love to see what they would be like if they were in the pain and discomfort you have been in... Rant over now.. very sorry...
Oap Hope you are feeling better now..
Wannab Brill flower tutorial...
Tiredmom Where did you get your 40 PM's from? I have 68... but I could do with a few more.. I have been trying to work out where is the most reasonable... my brain hurts tho after a while.. maths was never one of my better subjects...

Morning. The weather here can't make it's mind up. I packed a picnic lunch up earlier with the intention of going to the beach for the day, it's now clouded over looks like it's going to rain!
CGCockcroft - nice to see you back again, hopefully the end of term will soon be here for you and you can have a nice few weeks of relaxation.
Kelly-Lou - Hello & welcome
Choccy - hope you had a fab time last night. I'm definately going to have a go at doing a scrapbook page, can't believe that yours is the first one you've done!
Babyfreckles - thanks for posting about Dun Elm, didn't realise that they did papercrafting stuff, so will have a look today.
Hassy - I think you're right about men and pain thresholds! My friend's ex-hubby spent the whole of her labour complaining that he'd got a headache and that it was too hot in the labour ward!!
Hugs to all that need them and I hope everyone has a fab day whatever you decide to do.0 -
Good Morning! It's a bit chilly here but looks as if it'll stay fine - just as well 'cos it's the annual street BBQ. The Gazebo's up on the green and the man has just brought the chairs and we've got a nice bottle of red to take with us.......so why would I rather be crafting?0

Been looking at peoples cards which are great.
I notice alot of you use stamps, how do you do the stamp carefully enough not to get a double image or other marks on the paper? Is it just practise?
Alot of mine come out blurred. Is there a knack I just dont know about? Also how do you make sure you get them positioned right?
Sorry for all the questions, but stamps look like they could be very useful if used properly!May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550 -
Addams I find stamping is always a bit of trial and error! I stand up to stamp most of the time and I know a few others on here do too. Also it's really important to not get ink around the edge of the stamp - that's my usual downfall!0

Hi! Addams, for me personally I always stamp with a really soft spongey mouse mat underneath, straight down, press and lift up. There are rocker blocks you can use or Clarity stamps have a nice stamping block you can easily hold.
I was given a piece of advice by a Stampin'Up rep who advised to always prepare your stamp before you use it by rubbing it over with an ordinary pencil rubber, it seems to prime it. Stampin' Up also have a 'stamp a ma jig' which can help you position your stamps (never used one!).
I always stamp on a large piece of paper so that I can cut the image to the size I want. Then I'll cut it with a nestabilities die as my cutting is carp! Hope this helps but please ask if you need any kind of help 'cos we are all different in the way we work.
I forgot to say, we sometimes use digital stamps printed out from your pc, no blurred lines then.
I've just blogged another house mouse card. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
:)Good Afternoon everyone I hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday, its a bit overcast here but still very warm. Need to pop food shopping today was extremly lazy yesterday and had a me day but it worked my mojo came back and got quite a few cards blogged.:j Ive even entered a couple of cards into various challenges - So I would like to thank you for your lovely comments on my blog and for giving me the confidence.
My spendy elves are allowed out to play later Ive seen some lovely digi images that I just must have today, Ive told hubby they will be a birthday pressie along with 17 promarkers that were ordered on saturday.
Hi there Addams - I used to have terrible disasters stamping, I always practise before I actually stamp where I want it to be. I always put the ink on the stamp and not the stamp in the ink
Love to you all
