I will be updating my blog later.....I made 3 of the 5 pamper cakes last night....I am delighted with them......BUT i forgot to take a pic before i wrapped them!! 3 of them were for my sister so i charged her cost price....£21. (she is leaving her job today to start a new one and they are gifts for her boss and co-workers)

Morning all.

Thankyou so much for all the well wishes, I wasn't going to post about it on here but thought I should cause I know Choccy called yesterday when I was puffing and panting and screaming through pain yesterday, then I called her back and threw the phone to OH cause I knew I was about to start screaming. I've had a really bad night, trying to get in right position to take the edge off the pain and sleep, the diazipan I am on 3 times a day for 5 days, it was prescribed as a muscle relaxant as my GP says the burning in my leg is just simply muscle spasms (I love the way he said just simply!!! :mad:)

My MIL said that she thought a chairopractor probably could help me, but OH says maybe not as it is a prolapsed disc rather than slipped? something along the lined of the prolapsed disc has worn away or something?? I will wait for OH to come home and then I will ring the hospital if I can find my letters and see what they say and will ask him which the posh chairopractor is in the next town see if I can at least ring them and ask them!

Sorry it is more doom and gloom from me but I am just feeling very sorry for myself!! the one thing which cheers me up (cardmaking) and I can't even do that cause of the pain!!!

Rusty massive hugs to you, I think you should ring the hospital for some advice, if nothing else maybe they could get you a cancelled appointment if you say you are willing to go at short notice, hope you get an appointment soon

Mad-Frog - maybe your OH and mine are secretly related!!! Every time he suggests decorating somewhere I shudder at the thought at all the temper tantrums I'm going to have to endure!!!

Rusty - its ridiculous that these doctors aren't bending over backwards to help you especially as you have kids to look after - I do hope you fell better soon.

Oh Rusty I am so relieved that you have managed to come on and post.
Yesterday i can say was awful here, ive not felt this helpless in a long time. I felt so useless, knowing that my friend was there on her own with littlies and no one was able to help her I was out and decided to try and see when trains were, my phone wouldnt let me connect through to national rail ( my friend offerred to watch my kids then i could go help Rusty) But i couldnt find out train times and would of had no idea where to go when i arrived there. Or even if i could get in to house 3 phones were every name under the sun yesterday dinnertime !!
I hope that now OH is there and you have different tablets (added to normal ones) That you will now be able to get abit of rest and relief from all your hurting xx

I have to finish my DT cards today..Then set up new lappy.. Then i will do a craft robo unveiling lol.. I cant believe i have had it sat there in its box for over a week.....
Momoffour I want to make a few more bits for you so i will post out on Tuesday/wednesday

Rusty - I know where you are coming from as my huby is waiting on the surgery with 2 prolapsed/herniated discs and a third one on its way. I actually changed GP until we get more a sympathetic one. She came and saw him at home and presecribed loads of different things. Luckily for us I'm at home with him to look after the kids. He found a tens machine helped and the muscle relaxants (a bit). The rest of the drugs just make him spaced out and he can't function properly. He had an MRI to confirm the diagnosis but physio and chiropractor wouldn't touch him because of of potential damage to the discs. Problem we have is although he ws seen urgent locally he still has to wait 12 weeks+ to see consultant for the surgery. Phone your surgery and demand to be seen everyday. Tell them you've got pins and needles, or breathless, or concerned about bladder control (don't worry if you haven't just say you worried - these are all "flags" that alert to severe problems). Once you've been seen at home a few times you'll get dealt with quicker!
Definitely worth trying to call consultant secretary as well and explaining how severe it is. They will usually try and fit you into a cancellation then.

Sun shining here in Lancashire, but a bit colder than it has been..
Rusty I was going to suggest that you spoke to a chiropractor to ask if he/she could treat you... as Nici said, the practor wouldn't touch her dh so it may be worth actually speaking to one over the fone if poss, that way you won't have to pay? Just a thought... in the meantime do as the others have suggested and pester...???
Pain is the worst thing isn't it? You just can't function.. sending a very gentle hug..
