JHB :grouphug: Poor you that's a really lousy thing to have, plenty of fluids and a gargle does help. Its so long ago but I used to have them regularly instead of getting a cold.

Well done, Gemm, on your sale.

    Jowri - Happy Anniversary

JHB - You poor thing. I swear by Manuka Honey as it also has antibacterial properties. You really want the 10+ strength at least which isn't cheap but just take a spoon every so often and it really helps. We have never had cough mixtures for the children as we find this far more effective.

Gemma - Congratulations you, it is so special when people have succes with hand crafted items.

Right off to tidy the house as MIL is babysitting tonight. DH is at a bowling match and I'm booked on a Stampin Up Bird Card class.

    Better get started......

  • Morning. It's another lovely sunny day here, so going to blitz the bedrooms and wash the curtains etc..

Turned my netbook on this morning and somethings gone wrong - can't get any internet connection (infact it's not recognising anything to do with the internet and I keep getting an error message, won't let me do a system restore either). Hoping it's not a virus, so going to pop into the computer shop later.:(

    Jowri

    Morning all.

JailhouseBabe Your throat sounds really painful. If you can manage to swallow anything I can recommend disoveable painkillers in hot water with diluting juice and some honey. That's what I use when my throats killing me - if it tastes too disgusting for you the miss out the painkillers.

Jowri Happy Anniversary. Hope you have a lovely day.

Gemm :j:T:j:T:j:T Well done on your sale!!!

Popkins - Thankyou for your advice :) I said to her its looking at £1.50 for a day card & 90p for evening but did say I'm trying to source the purple paper so that might change alittle. She seemed really fine with that & said she'd much rather pay someone like me who she knows than someone she doesnt...plus there origianl :) I'll get there with these prices...fingers crossed the samples of paper arrive today :)

    Hi all!!

    Gemm Well done!!

Hugs to all who are poorly!!

My aunt had a heart attack on tuesday evening....she is ok, but needs to be transferred to another hospital to check how much damage has been done to her heart! :(
I went to see her last night and she looks well and she was in good form!!
She is wanting her nintendo DS and her own games!! she is 63!!

I didnt get up to the hospital....but will be there on sunday :) Although i will be popping in for a visit on sat after the craft fair :). My Stuff is due for Delivery today at some stage.....problems with DHL and volcanic ash!! But things are enroute!!
I have a massive box/trunk filled with stuff to bring up to the hospital then its all go....one of the nurses rang me and said that if i start doing crafty things with DH in the sunroom of the hospital that I will find other patients just coming along and plonking themselves down to take part....If that happened It would be FANTASTIC....not only for them but a real boost for me too....having the knowledge that I am helping and being useful. The nurse was also saying that they were looking for a volunteer to come in and play cards with some of the patients!! Quite a few are young men who are in the prime of their life and like an odd beer and a bit of banter....but I cant do that....well unless they want to play snap!! So, I have put the feelers out amongst my friends husbands you never know ;-)....Although some people feel very uncomfortable working alongside "victims" of brain injury....I know that when DHs friends went to see him they were just gutted and one of them has not been back....he just couldnt cope with seeing DH the way he was! Its a bit sad but perfectly understandable!!

Im going off to blog hop!! I love seeing all your wonderful creations!!
    :jIm going to be frugal:j
