Hi, been trying to get my head around costs of what to charge for the wedding invites.....I'm thinking £1.45 for each card? The overall cost to make it is about 80p (the ribbon is the dearest part...going to see if I can find it cheaper!) but I've not got the paper for the inserts yet! Is that a reasonable mark up or is it too much?! Sorry, its my 1st time doing this, I don't want to over charge but then again I need to add a little for my time!

I sat out in the sun for an hr after picking Alex up from school working out the costs & I can't beleave how hot the sun still is.....(its wrong for me to say but..)...its great :D
flourgirl - welcome back :j missed you :jGlad you had a great holiday :D

Depends on if that is per day invite and evening invite, remember if the design is smaller on the evening invite she may not want to pay as much.

What kind of ribbon is it? Reason I ask is I can possibly help you find it cheaper as I know a few places which I use for my nappy cakes

    Hi all,
Well not had such a productive day today. In fact I've been really lazy. Had to get in work today for 7am to do a huge buffet and it wore me out. Much prefer working in the Craft shop.
My mum has just come home for her annual visit. She lives in spain half the year. She brought back her Robo and has lent it to me. I am sooo excited but was too tired to play today. So hopefully tomorrow. Am hoping to start making Nestie type things like you just said about Rusty but not sure if I will get it.
Have won two tickets to the Stitch and Creative Crafts show thats on this weekend at Shepton Mallet. Was really hoping to win and they came today. So that is really exciting too. Cant wait to go have a look at whats there. Going on Sunday.
Craftgranny your pics of Alicia are adorable.
Not had chance to look at any Blogs for a while and really must update mine.
Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)

Rusty- That price would just be for the day invites, she wants 25. For the eveing ones there alot simpler, so was thinking 80p each? She wants 75 of those.

The ribbon is satin 3mm (I think!) :) its sold for 99p a metre in a shop in town, its the perfect shade of purple but if I can find the same colour cheaper that would be ace :D I was thinking of having a nip out to Hobbycraft!

    I think £1.45 is a bargain for a handmade wedding invite ;)

Just don't cut yourself short, make sure you work out your time involved in doing it. Maybe you could charge £1 per evening invite? that way you get a little extra? I am about to send you a message, probably on FB though :)

Papillion - 12? wow! what sizex did you get? my best box is I think a 35 or 45? (cant remember) box but it holds 12x12's ... nearly overflowing now though! I ideally want a few more of them though and then I can stack all my papers in there! where do you get yours from? I want to see Nanny Mcphee!
