thanks rusty. didn't work though:( oh says need to uddate the software. does anyone know how to do this? I found some free files and they worked ok so don't understand why software is good enough for some files not others

Right spoke to Paul and he says ...

Basically you have old software, files created with new software the old software doesn't know that the files even exist yet which is the problem. Can't see why you can't use a newer version of the software? have you looked on the graphtec website to see if you can find a newer version of the software as this might help?

Tried to call but having problems with the landline, see your phone as I text you :) xxx

Well, the sunshine lasted all day, three loads of washing done and dried (ironing can wait!) so then I had a play.

I've just blogged the card I sent to cjcockroft for the CP April swap, it should have arrived by now so I don't think I've spoiled the surprise, plus another card I made this afternoon and the papers on that one are a bit of a departure for me but I like the way it's turned out.

I've got a couple more images already coloured - used the digi card from Craftwork Cards and although at 250gsm it needs a little persuasion to go through my HP printer I'm very pleased with it, and a few more papers printed off so I'm hoping to get some time to do a bit more tomorrow.

Off to look at blogs and will comment as I go.

Right finally caught up again. I spent the afternoon making fire engines with DS's year 2 class. They are using tissue box size boxes but have to turn them inside out and retape them as that way the paint will stick. They they had to cut a door and hatch that could open but not come off, i.e leave one side as a hinge. Then the nightmare bit wheels. They were using dowling and wooden wheels to make moving axels and had to cut the dowling with the hacksaw. I kept counting my fingers every 5 mins to check they were all there!

Then even worse they have brought violins home. It is part of the musical instruments in schools initiative but what is wrong with a recorder? We have got them for the next few months and they have one lesson a week in school. We have told Connor he can have pocket money if he doesn't practice!

    WBR - Thank you

PepPop - Thank you, not looked closely yet but they look great.

Crafty JuJu - Can you contact the NEC people where you got the card to see if they do paper?

Dragonllew - Thanks for DCWV link

    Craftygranny - Thanks it's received

    Babyfreckles - Great card

Carmim - How best do I save your Tilda images, I know I need to do something with my photobucket account so that I can then resize them.

Skiergirl - Thank you so much for the goodies you are a star. The picture was this one http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumb_21/1126717064B7O932.jpg
I copied it into word and then just made it bigger before printing in black & white. It did pixilate badly but I was colouring over it so it didn't matter.

Flourgirl - Welcome back isn't that area wonderful.

Rusty - I love those wardrobes too. I saw one in Carole's Crafts that had just arrived but had a small amount of damage. They had reduced it from £999 to £678 and some woman had just bought it, it had only been on the shop floor 2 hours. Those Lily Valley stamps are eatable. I also noticed that she does a recommended Promarkers list so I am going to have a futher investigation.

Has anyone received their order from Poppicrafts yet? I put in a large order last Friday, had confirmation that it had been received and then nothing. If you go on the site now it is closed but does mention the hair one. I paid via paypal so should be ok if they don't materialise but just wondered if anyone had received theirs.

Been at a 2 hour PTA meeting this evening so need a cuppa now.
