Hi Gemm - I'd suggest smaller everything so far, I think the link buttons are too big; and put some pictures of your creations on the home page (a personal pet hate of mine is having to visit a home page and then having to visit another page before I can see anything).
Sorry if I sound critical, but usability is a bit of a thing with me. :o x

omg and to think earlier on I was debating whether the buttons were big enough!! don't worry, I asked for criticism so I have to expect it! must admit though they don't look very big from where I am not but it might be the settings on my laptop, I will have a look at work tomorrow to see it from another perspective :D

thanks for the advice about putting some creations on the home page, I will put that on my to-do list!! :)

Gemm - can I stick my twopenneth in??? I liked the layout, but you know where you would click on say jewellery and then you want to go back to the home page - what do you think about changing the button Main to Home??? How clever are you though??? I really wouldnt know where to start.

Jowri - I couldnt get password to work - sorry x

Evening all! Just had my planning meeting with my Stampin Up friend, ready for next Tuesday. We're going to be making some cards using the plastic domes that go in a hole in the card so that you can fill them with sweeties etc.

Naughty wifey that I am - I forgot that it is our wedding anniversary tomorrow so have just made a card! We usually both forget as it's only a few days till DS1s birthday and we usually focus on that! I'm pleased with the card (will post after he's had it!), and used some digi papers from Funky Fairies that I had never used and now love! They are distress effect papers and heart patterns if anyone is interested.....

Melissa - your card is awesome. The cog shape around the sentiment is fab - how did you do it?

Mumtofour - will get my behind in gear over the weekend for some stash/stamps for you.

whew - have finally finished the basic layout for my new website and made sub-pages etc, shame they're blank at the moment :rotfl: they wont be for long, but in the meantime I'd really appreciate your advice on whether you think it's ok - user friendly, etc? thanks all :)www.handmadebygem.co.uk

works fine for me, the only thing that didn't work was the contact but that's us NOT your website.

thanks wifey, I want to try and figure out how to make it go to a 'contact page' for people to type and submit and it will just email me itself, rather than try and open a new email through people's outlook express etc x
