Well I took the cards for my friend & she loves them all! :jShes taken them home to show her future hubby to see if they can decided on one they like best :rotfl:& will let me know tomo. I said once they have decided I'd get some costs together for them.....Rusty hope you don't mind me asking but did you charge per card (if so how much) or did you charge an amount for the lot? Hope you don't mind me asking?
Juju I sort of worked out how much it would cost me in materials to make them. I made up a mock card first and worked out how much ribbon per card etc I would need and worked out how much peel offs would cost. Not sure how I ended up deciding on the price being £120 but think I worked it as half of what she would have paid for that many invites from a company as she had originally sent a picture of one she wanted and asked if I could make it. I then looked at their price and they charged per invite and I halved it.Please do make sure that you charge for your time!!

Hi can someone please tell me how we copy the files again so we can resize them. I know it was something to do with using our own photobucket account.
Papillon - Thanks for the idea about Ikea. I had tried to look online but they don't give much detail so I couldn't actually work out if any were, a trip needed at some point me thinks.
Skiergirl - Sorry to hear you are in such pain. Please do holler if I can be any help.
Darling children have both some out with stinking colds and are feeling much better for it. I can tell they are both well enough for school tomorrow as they are driving each other and me up the wall!

Tiredmom - hope they are feeling better soon! I know how you feel I can't believe DD was up at 6am being sick all over her bed!! Just when I was enjoying 30 mins peace whilst she was at nursery, I had planned to take her but pick her up after an hour to go to the hospital but no I had to keep her home!
Has anyone had or got any arctic frog papers? I have found some very cheap but not sure if it is worth the risk or not as I have never heard of them before and have simply stumbled upon them by accident!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

don't worry about it, I've had the same, thought it was just me! I'd go to post on someones blog & it says its done it but its not so I'll post again only to find thats theres two posts! :rotfl::rotfl:
I don't know yet on the amount, I think I might message her to ask so I could poss work cost out tonightI think she wants some for the day & some invites for just the evening do....I don't mind I enjoyed making them. I tried to keep them simple so they'd not cost too much & also wouldn't take me a yr to do! Also I think sometimes with Wedding invites its best to keep it simple

Hiya
When I did wedding invites for my friend I did what Rusty did and did a 'mock' invite and worked out how much ribbon & costs of all materials to make up the amount of invites they wanted then divided total by number of invites and then added some for my time - you really must charge for your time - I definitely under charged on that front but then I was kinda doing it as a bit of a favour for her - I ended up charging £1.25 per invite but I did tell her that just in case anyone asks they'd actually be more like £2.25-£2.50 if I were to make them again!!! I thought they were really simple and would take no time at all but in total I think they took me about 20-21hrs to do so thats actually 3 days work & materials cost me about £60 give or take and she paid £101 I think which mean't I only got £40 for my time which isn't much for 3 days work! HTH
see ya! x0 -
Peppop Pritt stick, or similar is recommended for on the bottom of 3d foam cos you have a short amount of time to move decoupage to align it, don't know about backing papers?Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!
