Can someone help - I have been using double-sided tape for my background papers etc but when it's stuck it's stuck and if i misjudge it I ruin it. Can someone suggest something that will stick but will give me time to straighten it if i need to IYSWIM?
Collall Photo Glue is good for allowing you time to move your paper about, but TBH if you're sticking a large piece of paper, say on a 6" square card as a backing paper, then it's going to run out very quickly.
I use it for putting images and sentiments cut with Nesties onto mats so not much used that way. You just slide it around until it's in the correct position, let it go off a bit then you can just rub any excess glue off and it doesn't leave any residue or marks on your paper. Any you get on your desk, cutting mat, etc, just rubs off. If you want to try some I'd look round for a better price, it can be bought cheaper than that link.
I use DST for backing papers but just lift about half an inch of each of the two sides in one corner and the same in the diagonally opposite corner, |_ and -|, if you see what I mean. Place your paper onto your card but don't press down in the corners with the tape lifted, position it by holding down the corners that haven't had the tape lifted. Once you've got it in the right place then press down the two corners where the tape is lifted so it sticks, then gently peel off the carrier tape. Soz, that sounds so complicate, I hope you understand it.

I can try lol but not too good at describing what I mean;
If you put your double sided tape on the area you want to stick, Then instead of pulling all the backing off just pull the corners a little and fold the backing bit to the outside of the bit your sticking. You can then position it and once in place pull the rest of the backing off.
Ha ha I understand do you??
Hope this helps.Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)0 -
Well I'll have to join Hassy and Popkins in the size 5 shoe club!!! I actually found the time to craft yesterday - Elliot was asleep by 9 o'clock which is a record!!!! Not only that but it was a male card that I made - I hate men's cards!!! Anyway its here.
Ali - thanks so much for the offer - I think I'm going to be brave and just order the big shot from craft superstore - I'm sure Hassy posted a code for 10% off ( I hope I haven't imagined it).
CraftyJuJu - your wedding samples are gorgeous - those purple butterflies are really striking! My favourite one is the one with the 3 circles and the butterflies going down. Of course your friend loved her cards - your creations are fab!
Popkins - sorry to hear your appointment got postponed, hopefully Monday will come round quickly for you.
Rusty - hope DD feels better soon. I've never bought any Arctic Frog papers - I did see some of their 6x6 pads cheap somewhere ages ago but there was no pic of what the papers looked like so I didn't bother.
Skiergril - sorry to hear you've been suffering.
TiredMom - hope your little ones are better for school tomorrow!!!
Mad-Frog - I've got loads of the Quite Contrary papers - they are gorgeous - I bought them from here looks like they have them in stock too - and their prices are quite reasonable - plus its free delivery if you spend over £30.0 -
I got the email but wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much - will have a think about it x
I know I wasn't too sure but wth the last technique class being cancelled and the next drop in one not happening I decided to go for it. I also want to borrow the bird punch whilst there to punch some birds for a wedding card that I'm thinking of!
