Good afternoon ladies - I haven't had chance to read through properly so I'm not being ignorant if I don't comment on posts.
Welcome to our newbies - ScattyJan and Jowri!
Flourgirl - really pretty card - I love how you've cut the patterned paper at an angle to show the purple card underneath!0 -
:j TomsMom you need to look here :j
Ooh, thank you so much for pointing that out Flourgirl. Wow! I go forward into the April draw then :T. That was DS's birthday card - it's his birthday today and he asked me when did I take a photo of his dog :rotfl: , he had trouble believing it was an image I found!
It's a mad house here today, that's why I didn't know about the win I haven't had time to come onto the computer. We had a wardrobe delivered, to replace a damaged one that was delivered a month ago. Can you picture us two old crocks trying to get a triple wardrobe up a dog leg staircase :rotfl: - it's up now and I'm cream crackered! Trouble is there's still a couple of things wrong which need replacing, but we can use it until the replacement bits come (one of the doors, a door catch and there's a couple of patches on the oak which weren't polished properly).
Then there's a man been fitting new blinds in our sun room.
Plus I'm trying to make a card and DD is coming about 7pm for a weekend stay and she will take home the old wardrobe we no longer need.
Welcome Jowri.
Hope you're all having a good day and the sun is shining where you are.
I probably wont be on again today or tomorrow so I hope you all have a good weekend.0 -
TomsMum - congrats - sounds like you've had a busy day!
I'm gutted about the poppicrafts sale - I ordered a load of ribbon from them a few weeks ago so it seems daft making another order now just to take advantage of the 30% off- or does it???
There's a sale on here too - some items have 30% off. There's some decent buys - some cheap MME papers and packs, basic grey 6x6 pads, cosmo cricket 12x12 papers - I spent £20 - oops!!!

TiredMom - I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight!
LoubyLouLou - lovely "wings" card - I love how you've used the flower soft on the "D" - it looks really effective!
Npsmama - huge congratulations - she is gorgeous!!!!0 -
Hope everyone is having a lovely day and that your weather is as good where you are as it is here.
OMG what have I missed! I've not been on all week and by the looks of things I was a good thing. Not going to go over old ground but I just had to say Hugs to Rusty and please come back!!
Npsmama SHE'S GORGEOUS!! Well done you!!
Belated Happy Birthdays to Craftygranny and Wannabe
Congratulations TomsMom
TiredMom Thanks for the SECC dates I'm off to write them in my diary!
ali no probs - I've not used ribbons on my card yet but i save everything I might want to try to my favourites. the list gets longer and the crafting time gets shorter
I've got a Zanussi washing machine (ssh don't want it to hear incase it throws a wobbly) and apart from needing the brushes changed once it is great (had it for at least 10 years)
Slight rant alert. I was out in the back court (live in a tenament flat) hanging up some washing and the guy who lives across the back was up a ladder lopping great big chunks off the tree in the next court. I've just went down to put more washing out and noticed that he has thrown all the bits he chopped off over the wall into both back courts and to make matters worse there are huge branches dangling overhead cos they're stuck in the tree and resting on the phone lines!!! don't want to think whats gonna happen when they eventually fall down assuming the phone lines don't snap first!! What an eejit!!
Piano has arrived safely and has been covered up so the cats cant play on it before their daddy gets a shot when he comes home from work. I can finally get my card stuff out and play :j (and I have finally caught up - so please don't post anymore until I come back...)

Welcome to our newbies - ScattyJan and Jowri!
Flourgirl - really pretty card - I love how you've cut the patterned paper at an angle to show the purple card underneath!
Thankyou Melissa. The purple bit in the corner was an added bit, when I had finished the card that corner looked a bit bare so I just cut a triangle piece of purple and stuck it on the top!!0 -
Welcome to all the newbies - this is the friendliest thread ever, and everyone is full of useful tips and advice, particularly with spending your money :rotfl:.
The spending elves have been here and forced me to order a MSscoreboard and ATG gun, so thanks for the links PONR and The Wife. They want to come out again for ribbon from Poppicrafts - trouble is I have lots of ribbon already, so do I really need anymore?
Hoping to update my blog over the weekend with recent makes, and have made another 'gadget card' this time a PS3 controller, so does anyone know of any 'male' challenges that I could enter it into please?
Haven't got a hope of remembering who has done what or what everyone is up to over the last few pages, so hugs to all, and with the kids back at school next week, things here should get back to normal and I can do loads of crafting on my 2 days a week off.
Belated birthday wishes to those that have had a birthday this week, and incase I don't get on again before Sunday have a wonderful birthday tomorrow Melissa xx2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

Oh No when are you supposed to be flying?
Not till 2 pm tomorrow so there is some hope!
&son is torn between excitement about potentially not getting back for school and annoyance as it is the Sheffield derby on Sunday and we may not get back for it. Although to be fair he's not that bothered as it's not looking that good for Sheffield Wednesday this season.0 -
Spendy elves locked up for everyone who wanted them away - Just whistle bear necessities when you need them letting out for an hour :rotfl::rotfl:
Just nipped to post office and managed to spend another £6 in our kind of craft shop had 5mm gems 80 for £2.50 and 100 3mm for £2 plus the paper doilies I actually went in for.
Mr T has 2 Martina Cole books in a pack for £3.86 one is Hard Girls her new one
It is my DSS who is supposed to be flying at 2am tomorrow morning but he's flying from Edinburgh so may be able to go - if not he can go to the training for his job:D
DD is staying over at a friends tonight so bought beer so I get some peace and quiet from OH especially as he has to cut the grass tomorrow.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
