Crafty - 7 years is good - ours normally die a day after the guarantee runs out!! Bosch are good our current one is a Zanussi and seems to be ok we got it on tinternet at John Lewis as they gave us an extra year guarantee for freeee. Felt dead posh as well when the John Lewis delivery van pulled up - lol xx
  • Morning (just) ladies - Sun keeps trying to break through!! Hope that no one gets covered in volcanic ash today!!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to CT19720 who very kindly sent me some lovely butterflies that she cut for me with her 'special' machine!!!! She also made me a lovely card to go with them!!! Thanks very much, I really appreciate this.

Have decided to make a cupcake with a strip of magnet tape on the back with my niece today. Have cut it all out ready for her and she can decorate it how she wants.

Can't remember who was asking about magnets, I bought a roll of magnetic tape in the US so am using that for the first time today. The magnet links that were posted were useful and I have bookmarked them so thank to the person that posted those as well.

Recommendations depend on your budget. My d-i-l bought a Miele which was on offer with a 10 year parts and labour guarantee but it cost best part of £800, but if it lasts 10 years with no extra spending then it's got to be worth £80 a year.

Ali I found some recommendations for colours that go well together when I was sorting out my list of PMs. I'll try and find it again and get back to you.

Sorry more like a butchering than a snip.

I too have a Miele machine and it is wonderful. We've had it now for 6 years with not a jot of bother (hope haven't jinxed). We got it after a serious house fire so used insurance money but where the machine has to go is virtually impossible to get a machine in and out so wanted something that was reliable.

I to would be interested to know about the Promarker recommendations, I was going to have a look back at posts as I think Wifey linked some sites but any info gratefully received.

If you scroll down and look at various posts there are recommendations for colours that go together for whatever project is being done.

Some recommendations here but the pics aren't coming up for me, just red X in boxes.

Also have a moochy through pinkladymel's blog, this is where I jotted a lot of the combinations down.

That should keep you going for a bit!

I've just had a look back and her user name is now PPR - Posting Privileges Removed - RESULT!

But don't forget she said she is a member under another user name, the one she used on here was registered but not used before posting on this thread.
