  • Tired mum They are brilliant, i can just imagine those cupcakes displayed on one of those cupcake stands the wife and melissa put on earlier. That would make a fab display for anyone who sells them.

When I saw the pink one I must admit the temptation was there but decided that DD wouldn't be very happy with a cupcake stand for her 4th birthday present! I had wondered whether it would be possible to make something remotely similar but it won't happen in time for this birthday.

  • Thanks JHB - that was what I was going to do, but then panicked that I should be using silcone glue or some other unknown substance. Sorry you've had a carp day - hope you get things sorted soon. x

Tiredmom - I'm sure your cupcakes will be well received.

My sis is home - didn't get vhance to speak to her as she left a message on my phone and was just about to go to bed as her bodyclock is 4 and a hlf hours ahead. But the important thing is she's home - and she liked the bunting!

Been to the gym again this evening. I'm trying to run the sports relief mile but omg it's hard work that training business. I cn run amile - just not all at once but I've been gradually building up the amount I can run without collapsing in aheap - am up to 1/3 mile now. Sadly, it's two weeks to go so I'm running out of time. Yikes!

"&son" is running with me - I've tole him to remember he's not in a cross country race and that he has to wait for his poor old mum to keep up with him.

If anyone would like to sponsor us, there's a link on my facebook page and another one on my blog.
Thanks CraftyGranny - I've saved that little treat for the morning - his lordship will never sleep if I show it him now - he's watching the rugby at the mo!
  • thanks for all the 'well dones' about the fairy notelets , have now made another set as we're having a card party on Sunday - wish me luck I always get sooooooooooooooooo nervous before them stupid really
if anyone gets the do crafts magazine I applied to be part of their readers stories but don't always buy it oops so if anyone sees a story about a husband and wife team Tracey and Paul that will be us !! can you let me know thanks in advance

Morning ladies - gosh this thread moves fast!

Craftygranny - shocking treatment from the surgery, but I am so glad to hear that the girls are doing so well.

Saucy - shocking treatment from the postie! Doesn't he know how important promarkers are?

JHB - sorry about your pay -it's such a pain when these things get messed up isn't it?

Rattling Rusty - hope the new pills kick in soon - I have taking tablets, don't think I oculd cope if I had a condition where I had to take a lot!

Popkins - sorry your fibro has been so bad - am going to PM you in a mo.

Tired Mum-your cup cakes are lovely - I really like alternatives to the usual party bags.

DTB - so glad your sis is home - are you prepared for the tears when she sees your bunting?

Saucy- hope your party goes well - your notelets are very cute.

Haven't visited blogs for a while so am going to do that in a minute with a nice cuppa befpre DS1 and I disappear off to tennis!

It's my DH birthday tomorrow - the boys wanted to get him a lego STar Wars watch - can't wait to see his face! I also got one of those cakeelss cakes someone on here recommended (Craftygranny?) - it is absolutely amazing, I'll take a piccy before we demolish it. I've another for DS2's Indiana Jones party next month (they are both coeliac) and it's covered in skull and rat jellies - it's fab!

I love doing the boys parties - DH is making a 'put the whip in Indy's hand game' and we're getting t shirts for £1 from ebay and making personalised Indiana Jones t shirts instead of party bags - I can't wait!

Have been working on a little project which I may finish today so will share if it works out OK!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
    x

tired mom your cupcakes are fab!!

popkins have fun at IKEA, lol at you and your OH falling out - the same thing happens to us! we might go next friday lol
  • Morning all!
Had nasty day in the office yesterday - I had to go and see the head of service but she was more concerned about where a 2ft tall teddy should be sitting than owt else so I just couldn't take her seriously :rotfl:.

DD is on a sleepover tonight so I'm going to do yet more washing and start on my March cards :T.

Good luck at Ikea Popkins - we need to go soon and we always fall out - we once had a major row which ended in him storming off and me nearly having to walk home from Leeds .

I'm battling with the spendy elves at the mo - wish me luck :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • I'm off to go and get my promarkers!
(At least they better be my promarkers and not some rubbish OH has ordered, lol)
    Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:
