    hi all,
i have been reading this thread for 4 days now and every time i come back thier is a nother 2 or 3 pages!

i would just like to ask all of you about an idear, i have a lot of stash from when i made cards years ago, in my village we have a lillel girl who is in need of some hydrotherapy pool treatments and we are going to have a big cake sale in the village hall for her in may bank holiday.
do you think it would be worth having a card stall too and other craft things but what to have i would be very gratefull for you thoughts.

    thanks

Here is the post I was on about:-

Hi everyone i have had a busy weekend as i had a craft fair and it went really well. So i thought i would give you a update of things that sold well on the card making side.
Paper-clip bookmarks (i was shocked as to how many of these did sell 75p each)sold well as did the teabag holder (£1.50 each) cards post it note holders (again £1.50 each) i only brought 2 home made about 15 the best sellers where the little treat things ( £1.25 each) that i have on my blog with the lollipops and pencils in they all sold out and i made loads of them easter one and all sorts of other ones. So i just thought i would let you all know in case any of you are doing fairs and wanted an idea of what the best sellers where

Hogshead - Love your card. I don't have a blog yet either so seem to fill the pages if I want to post a piccie but everyone is so kind. I am just doing a blog and it isn't actually that hard.

Tomsmom - That link is wonderful and really made my children laugh. Thinking of you both it must be so frustrating when things are made harder than they need to be.

PepPop - I'm more than happy to relinquish the spendy elves to you and it will be our secret from OH's. Just be warned being Easter weekend I think they need feeding on more treats than usual!

Right tea finished so back to packing. In case I forget before I go tomorrow Happy Easter to everyone and have some easter egg on me.

Happy Easter everyone!!! The kids (well the oldest two) are off to their Nan's tonight to stay - thank goodness - its only a day into the holidays and they're driving me crackers!! OH has suggested that we treat ourselves to fish and chips tonight - yummy!!!

PepPop - that cuttlebug is really pretty - I think I'm going to be ordering myself a big shot instead though.

Pointofnoreturn - welcome home, hope you manage to catch up on your sleep soon!

CT19720 - your PSP card is fantastic - really lifelike!

Glittermum - your photo frames are lovely - such pretty gifts!

Sweetbabycakes - welcome to the thread!

Marg - thanks for the link - I've actually made a few ATC holders using the bind-it-all and some normal c6 envelopes folded in half! I'm trying to get one finished at the minute for myself to store all the lovely ATCs I've received from The Crafty Place swaps.

Hogshead - your card is gorgeous - I love how you've arranged the flowers and the black leaves look fab!
  • Since we are talking challenges :

    Can i point everyone here
The prize is a months Guest DT spot.
You have to use a 12x12 patterned paper to make an easter project. More details on the blog.

Right off to have a go at my KISS challenge card

Hope everyone doesnt eat too much choccy ;)

Mine are a week into their holidays and I think have serious cabin fever due to the weather. That's what I'm blaming the spendy elves on the fact that the children are driving each other and me up the wall!

Can I ask why you are going for the big shot instead of the cuttlebug. I am hoping to wait until my birthday in September, but that may not happen. Everyone seems to go for the cuttlebug but I know my demonstrator has a big shot and says it easily cuts through chipboard, card, felt etc and I'm wondering what the advantage of the cuttlebug is. If anyone can tell me advantages/disadvantages of the two models I would be very interested to know.

    Thanks

    Afternoon Everyone!

Hello to anyone new, and hugs to you "oldies" - LOL, only kidding.

I've been busy trying to make little boxes this afternoon for some wedding gifts to go into - jewellery to be precise. I was going to make the little baskets that Rainmac did a while ago, as those are gorgeous, but I was concerned the contents would fall out easily?

Anyway, I tried three styles - which are here:

    Hiya Crafty JuJu

My daughter sat all day yesterday making her first sock monkey, which she wasn't very pleased with as there was a couple of mistakes, as you'd expect! lol

Anyway, she was determined to do it and today she's just finished doing this one:

Thought I'd show it to you seeing as you did the brilliant tutorial, thank you, it kept her amused for most of the day!

Thanks :) I started making mine by hand, just started to use the machine as it speeded up the process a little as I was wanting to make a few for Easter Presents :D Can't wait to see a pic when its done, something to keep her busy through the holls too :j x

TiredMom - I decided to go for the big shot because there's a range of dies by sizzix called bigz and bigz xl and I'm sure that the cuttlebug can't use them. The big shot can but I think you have to buy bigger plates first. You can make some fab things with these dies. Here's one that I'm after:

I haven't got a garden so my kids have permanently got cabin fever - they've got so much pent up energy to release!

Sally - All of your boxes are fabulous! Your daughter's sock monkey is great - much better than I could do!
