Exciting news for someone on here on my blog.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and best wishes. "&son" is generally doing ok but is very prone to frustration if things aren't going according to plan - perhaps attempting to make a model of an F1 car today of all days was not the best idea he has ever had. He's a little insecure and so has decided to sleep in my bed because 'its safer'. I've appraised his teacher of the situation and "&son" knows that he can talk to him if things get too much or someone says something so hoping all will go well. He has 2 days of school trips this week so that should help to take his mind off things. Have let him pack his own lunch - nutella sandwiches and peparami anyone?

ooooh ponr hope you don't get the same shock with your luggage my son did . They told him he could check 2 x 23kilo bags then when he checked in they said 1 for free and 40 quid to check the second bag. He was not happy . he has complained but no reply yet.

LOL - they changed the 2 bag rule in November but I am travelling Premium Economy so still allowed to take 2 x 23kg, however economy passengers can now only take 1 x 23kg bag on Virgin. If you check in online though you can pay for up to 10 extra bags (@ 23kg each) and it is cheaper than just paying when you get to the airport. Hopefully, I should be alright with the 2 bags otherwise will need to nip out and get another bag!!!

**Whoops was not loling at your son getting charged but at me having too much luggage!!!**

I have joined the insomnia brigade :( had a mild sore throat for a couple of weeks now which wasn't really bothering me so I didn't go to the docs (naughty me), wish I had now because I have just woken up with the whole of one side of my throat throbbing, it seems to be affecting my ear on that side as well! I can barely move my tongue to speak or swallow and am just trying to choke down a cup of tea, my own fault I suppose! worst thing is I can't have a day off work as there are probably going to be job cuts soon and I dont want it to go against me, someone came in all last week with the worst cough and chest infection you've ever heard, it's wrong really but people are so worried it will go against them if they are off sick. will try and get a docs appt for after work, my colleagues will be pleased though - it will shut me up all day cause I can barely talk :D

sorry for the rant all but at this time in the morning theres no one else to moan to :rotfl: will try and contribute something crafty later, I promise :A

Awww Gemm hope you feel better soon. It's awful that people are too scared to take time off when they are sick for fear of being made redundant.

Get well quick Gemm! (Before Friday! ;) )
ponr - are you sad to be leaving? I'd love to be able to spend a few months in the states - the longest I've ever spent there is 1 week.

Loving the different classifications of paper. :) I told DD that if she's selling my cards for £1, there's no way I'm using Basic Grey, they can stick with Papermania, lol. :p
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
