  • Morning everyone :) Had an early start today & we all went for a walk out in the sunshine into town for the carboot sale :) Well it was 8.30m but thats more than early enough for me on a sunday :) lol Really enjoyed it, got a lazy town floor jigsaw for the kids for 50p, its already paid for itself as they've done it 3 times already! Their now having some rest time watching Ratatoille film before we go up to si-in-laws :)

    DTB & Son - Good Luck :T

I never thought I'd start such a craze saying we shoud wearing bunny ears!! lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm coming from Chesterfield & have never driven to the NEC before! Does anyone have an idea of how long it might take me & how to get there???
    Many Thanks :)

Straight down the M1 to junction 24a ? East midlands airport.
    Then onto a42
    which changes to M42
and follow signs for Either Birmingham international airport or NEC . Takes about 1hr from junction 24a on M1

Not that i have done the journey twice a week for over 10 years ( a few ears ago though ;) )
I would say an hour and half to be on safe side and allow for traffic as its a friday so roads are often busier x

Thanks to you all for your support. Tom and I did our mile and have raised far more money than we would ever have imagined possible.
I'll do a blog post with pics tonight when I draw the blog candy but there is a sneaky peek available to all my facebook friends.

Thanks again - time for lunch and a nice long lie down methinks!

sounds about right - good point re the traffic as we went on the Sunday morning so there was much less traffic.

Also, when you get there, you might have quite a hike from the car park dependent on how lucky you are with car parking spaces and there WILL be a lot of traffic around the exhibition centre whenever you arrive.
We played a little game of guess which exhibition the people in the cars next to you are going to - there was a sugarcraft one at the same time last year but then another one that sounded like it was something to do with heavy rock music so quite a mix of characters!

Well done DTB & Son - you deserve a rest this afternoon!

Thanks for the image links - I may well use some of them especially as a couple are stamps I was going to buy off eBay but they were too small :).

I don't think my DD got really attached to much other than her blanket which she still takes to bed every night - he (yes it's a boy) keeps getting smaller and smaller now as bits fall off :rotfl:.

MIL is a bit better she sent us a text last night - they didn't find anything on the CT scan but still don't know what's wrong with her . Anyhoo her card won me a challenge and part of the prize is a weeks GDT spot :j:j Hopefully I'll be able to use a bear with the theme :D.

Off to craft while OH swears at the Scottish cup final and DD plays at the park - it's lovely here :)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
