What is the difference between a Big Shot and a Cuttlebug?

What exactly can you do with them? Emboss and die cut?

As far as I know they do the same thing cut dies and emboss I think the differences I think are the cuttlebug is more compact than the bigshot as it folds up. I think the bigshot can cut some of the bigger dies such as the box template but have a feeling you can now buy extended plates to do this on the bug.
