Hope everyone is ok.
Rusty - sorry to hear about you loss.
JHB - I am interested to know about these Tim Holtz distress inks as I just bought a tea dye one. I think you apply them with a sponge but will not be testing it out till I get home. I managed to use a 40% discount coupon so got it for around £2.10 - I may pick up a few morew if I can get them cheap again. Just found this Tim Holtz video on youtube showing him using the inks. There are many other videos on there using this ink. Just working my way through them!!!
flourgirl - thanks for the link to the blog where the lady uses the distress inks.
Giggle - well done on selling so much at your craft fair.
Dawnteabag - I love your button necklaces, they look very effective.
Some lovely cards on your blogs everyone. Good luck in any challenges you are all entering. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
I can't remember who wanted the Martha Stewart Scoreboard, but whilst looking for other goodies, I've found one here. Looks like it's £18 delivered, so a fair bit cheaper than QVC. I've not ordered from them before though.
Re the distress inks - I bought some 3 weeks ago and have been playing with them. I've made some lovely distressed backing paper, by scrunching the paper up, rubbing the ink lightly over the surface and then misting with water. I borrowed a friends blender tool as well to achieve a different effect and am intending to treat myself to one (I think they are about £3.25 in my local craft store), alternatively QVC have the Tim Holtz set back in stock which contains the blender and few other essentials (I'm not sure its worth buying the book though, as I'm not sure that there is anything much new in there that you can't get from his blog or You Tube tutorials,).0 -
Pink Gem have released some new stamps, god I have no willpower, ordered a girlie one and a sentiment one x
I have some breaking news, my DS2 ate a sausage tonight, his first ever!!! And DS1 who usually moans about sausages ate his without any complaints :j I cut some strips of puff pastry and wrapped the strips around chipolata sausages and cooked in the oven. Bit like sausage rolls I suppose. Very nice anyway and my boys ate them:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
JHB - have a look at these lovely tags Tim Holtz has made using the distress ink. He uses the ink in may ways, it is very vesatile. Wow - they look great, he uses some lovely stamps also.
Looks like there are more videos on www.timholtz.com as well. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

Big hugs Rusty - and anyone else who needs them.
Sorry you came back to pandemonium skier.
Thank you for all the lovely comments about my insipid wedding card - least it proves I can do something other than bears.
I made DD's birthday card the wrong way round Tom's mum - I just told her it was a special left handed one :rotfl::rotfl:.
Well done to your DS's rainmac - it's dreadful living in a house with fussy eaters - my OH is a prime example as is his DS my DS and my brother - think it's a boy thing - DD will eat anything that doesn't move except baked beans(I saw the Pink Gem stamps but as I've spent my stash budget for this month already am gonna be good :A)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
