Elysia2003 just seen your comment about my stepper card, heres how I did it.
I took a 4x7 inch card ,used it longways, with the fold at the top.
Cut a slit down the middle of the card ,back and front together, with scissors.to within an inch of the bottom ,so you now have 2 pieces,,
then fold either the right or the left side into steps making sure the card will stand up correctly on the bottom.
Hope you can understand this ,lol.
not very good at explaining it,sorry.

  • Hi there, hope you don't mind me joining in, just wanted to say to crafty Granny that you can now use the bigz XL dies in the cuttlebug.
I write a blog that is very die cut orentated (its my home page in my profile) and i write die cutting tutorials for both big shot and cuttlebug users (i have both machines so everything is tried and tested) There are some new extended plates out that you can get for your cutttlebug, i have found them for £14.99 and then you can use the long box dies. I love the XL dies they are fab and have quite a few if you need any advice on them.
I do also have a robo running silhouette software and like flourgirl says you can download quite a few boxes for that too!!

Liz - I'm not sure of the proper way but here's how I do it!

Open their blog and copy their picture to your pc, keeping their blog open open your blog dashboard and click design. You should have an element that says add a gadget, if you ckick that you get a pop up box, select add a picture. In that box you should be able to add the picture you've saved previously, then I go back to their blog and highlight the blog address and paste that in the space in the pop up box above the picture making sure there's only one http:/ in there. The other two boxes you can type your own text then save it. Done!

If anyone knows a less complicated way please tell......

Rainmac - sorry to hear you are poorly, colds make you feel so bad don't they? Take care & hope you feel better very soon. Dr Marg says plenty of ice cream is good for you.:)

I'm being very tempted by a craft robo but not sure I'd get enough use out of it to justify the cost, other than my shapes would be cut a bit straighter.

I've got loads to do today, birthday cards, artydoll challenge card, thank you cards, crafty place swaps, to say nothing of housework......just need to tear myself away from this pc :o...........

At least I don't need to garden - rain here is of monsoon proportions.

Thanks for the instructions Marg. I'm not at all techie and need someone to explain in proper English. :D I hope the rain stops soon for you, but at least it keeps you in, and enables you to make a start on your long list of stuff to do.

I was thinking about getting a craft robo too! Like I say, I'm not technical - I need it to plug in and do it's job. Imight just go for the bigger cuttlebug plates like Craftfairies suggested!

Padster - Thankyou so much, your card arrived and it's gorgeous. I have a few jobs to do so I'll blog it later. Did your card arrive?

I hope everyone has a lovely day. xxx

  • Hi all long time no read/post. I hope everyone is well. We have just got back from a much needed holiday last 2 weeks have been tough. As per usual i have sooo much to do. Wedding and birthday card for saturday, anniversary x 2 and birthday card for bank hol monday and no time to do it. I have finished the seating plan and the bride and groom love it i will blog it later once i have took a pic.

We Went past that clarkes village giggle goes to but as the trip was 3 1/2 hrs i didn't think hubby would appreciate a detour lol. I did go to a fab country park with rides for the kids and hubby and shopping for me so everyone was happy. I could have looked for ages, i was very good and only got a DOCrafts goodie bag it was slightly cheaper with it being a discount store at £12 i got a xmas one and it has tons in. I will blog that later too.

I am making a bookatrix card for the wedding one so i need to buy a plastic stand and make a box for it so better get on while the baby is having a nap.
