Craftygranny and Rainmac hope you feel better soon.
Welcome to the tread Maggie111 – good luck with making your wedding invites.
Jowri – hope you had a great day in Cornwall.
Flourgirl – your tea and pudding sounded delicious. We are off to friend tomorrow to pick their apples and blackberries so we will be having crumble too.
Fifi Folle – so glad you got the card and you liked it. Glad to hear you are feeling better today.
Ali - not sure what you are running on your PC but if you click Start a list should appear and on the right hand side one should say Control Panel. This may help you.
Can anyone help me with this question (I’ve been trying to work it out but am not getting very far). I’ve started to think about the Christmas card I want to make this year – need to do 60 plus, and have decided to do an aperture card, (scalloped oval) and from there have a hanging snowflake. Done a mock up, but on the inside of the card you can see where I have attached the cotton to the hanging snowflake. If I stick the top of the insert to the top of the inside of the card, the snowflake doesn’t hang and is just flat against the insert. So my question is how do I hide the cotton without sticking it to the insert, as I really want the hanging snowflake. Has anyone made a card before with something hanging from the aperture, and hidden the tread it was hanging on.
Thanks for any help.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

When I have made this type of card I use a trifold aperture card blank and attaching the " dangler" to the reverse of the center panel then fold back the right hand panel covering the "workings" HTH0 -

Thanks OAP - I did think of that but am trying to use up some cards that I have and they are not tri-fold:mad:. I have just tried to cut a scallop out and back the scallop frame the oval came out of to attach to the back of the front side, but that didn't work as I can't match up the scallops even though it is the same one I used for the aperture- grrrrrrrrrrr.
Any other ideas anyone? I just wondered about glossy accents. I haven't got any but would a touch of glossy accent hold the cotton if I put a dot on, and didn't have the cotton too long?2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
