not sure though!!
I bought that trimmer when I first started making cards and had lots of trouble with the blades going blunt really quickly in the end I bought this Purple cows trimmer think I paid about £15 for it its so much better than the one from hobbycraft.0 -
flowers - I've heard wild orchid crafts do lovely 3d flowers. Some sellers on ebay sell prima flowers in small packs which are nice to use. Sarahs cards also sell 'bloomers' which are fab.
I have a woodware trimmer and had to have the scallop blade - its fab!0 -
Fifi - thanks, my foot is much better today as I had enough of it at the weekend and today took ibuprofen and have been pain free. I reckon the foot might have had inflamation inside which was why it was hurting so much. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0

I’m back from a fab Ghost weekend at Alton Towers – just blogged about it if anyone is interested in hearing about it. Have to say it wasn’t a scary experience, and would certainly like to do another one in the future. Lots of stuff happened to me and my OH, but it was great.
Glad the hearing went well today Jazabelle. Hope you get the decision you want.
Fifi Folle - Contratulations on winning the Ellephantastic Challenge – fab card, and I am so pleased to have got a Top 3 in the same challenge. Thank you so much for the stamped image on leather Hogshead, without that I wouldn't have won.
Thanks for the link to the ebay shop Flourgirl. A couple of packs have now got a new home. Well done on winning the candy, a fab stamp you have coming to you. Sounds like you had a fab shopping trip.
Welcome home DTB and Wanna B Rich – glad you both had good holidays. Great that you had a great birthday DTB, and hope your migraine disappears soon for you WBR.
I’m off now until next week, so need to get my finger out and make some cards. Great challenge Artydoll, i’ll make a card to fit the green and red theme, and let you know when I’ve blogged it. Glad you are feeling a bit better now and up to crafting again. Great Christmas card on your blog, I love the image.
Point of No Return – thanks for the package it arrived safely and is gorgeous. Glad your foot is feeling better today.
Thinking about starting to make christmas cards - I have an idea in my head, and wondered if anyone had the super woodware snowflake punch (this one) - looking to see how big the snowflake is in real life before I buy one. If anyone has one, would there be any chance that you could photo the snowflake and say put it next to a 10p or 50p so I can gauge the actual size. Thanks2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Soma - I have been looking at Wild Orchids and they look great just not too sure about colours so might just order a few:eek: Stash getting bigger but no card made yet:o:rotfl:
Just ordered the woodware trimmer and did think about the scallop blade but resisted. Need to learn how to use it first.
Elysia - glad it was the one but did not go for it. I liked the options of adding the blades to the woodware one.
Just found my first award but don't know how to get it on my B***:(0 -
Does anyone know what's happening with the stash swap for august? I think choccy was meant to do the draw a few days ago - is she okay?"There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0

Promised I'd be back so here I am - had hoped to blog all your lovely cards but am having camera probs at the mo.
It was South Wales we went to - Tredegar House near Newport - my best friend from University lives in Cardiff so she came out to the van for a night wth her kids. We had lots of picnics, cake, takeaways, pimms. Lovely weekend and it turned out to be longer than expected because we got stuck in traffic on the M42 on the way home so I decided to stop over near Castle Donnington rather than try and get back in time for the caravan storage place on Sunday night. Might not have made that decision had I known that my Mum had removed the emergency food supplies from the van so "&son" and I had a lovely tea of bacon, sausage, egg, grilled tomatoes and toast. More Pimms for me - american Cream Soda for the boy and finished off nicely with some birthday cake. I also managed to cobble together a pcaked lunch for today for the boy for when we got back today. We had a mad dash back this morning to get "&son" to his circus skill sworkshop and me to work!
Didn't get any stash for my birthday (apart from my lovely bling from Rainmac - thank you!) but there was a car boot sale nearby on Sunday morning where I picked up a crafters companion scoring board for a quid so I was happy with that. "&son" was even happier with the stilts & "Dangerous Book for Boys" I bought him for a pound each - he's currently undecided as to whether to run away and joing the circus or make a bow and arrow (he asked me today if I knew where there were any ash trees as apparently that's best for bow making)
Have to pull my finger out craft-wise tomorrow as I have a birthday card to make before I go away again later this week (and I'm hoping to make some more paper bunting but I may have to drop that plan given the amount of unpacking, washing and ironing followed by repacking I have to do in the next couple of days.)
Ooh and if anyone is looking at the purple cow trimmers, they currently have them in costco for just under £20.
Right I'm off to sleep in my own bed - you really appreciate that when you've been away don;t you - especially having a bedroom that's right next to the bathroom as opposed to 100m down a dark path.0 -

Sorry, I've not heard from her - am dipping out of the stash swap this month as I had a bit of a disaster with the last 2 - thanks to Royal Mail and me being a dollhead!
I sent some parcels a few weeks ago - I think they were for furrypig and glittermum but I got myself in a right old pickle. I also sent a little something to the wife. Could you let me know if they fgot there alright girls - I don;t trust Royal Mail at all anymore. If you've received a random parcel from me then don't be surprised - I got myself more than a little muddled.
Ooh and whilst I remember - thank GlitterMum for the stash you sent me - I've already thanked Furrypig for it which caused her much consternation! There were some lovely velvet brads in my parcel. Do you remember where they came from.
Really going to bed now - honest!0
