Elysia Nesties are very suitable for a Cuttlebug and cut brilliantly in this great little machine. I've got the actual Wizard machine but have used my Nesties in the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot. If you would like to see what the Bug can do go to http://ikkiscuttlebugcupboard.blogspot.com , what ikki doesn't know ain't written anywhere, she's fab!
The sandwich details for the nesties/cuttlebug are on every Nesties package.

Melissa, thank you again for the blog list, I couldn't have entered so many challenges if it wasn't for your hard work in updating them. As I don't have any sense of smell whatsoever I've no idea if the aroma of coffee is still there in the embossing powder. Perhaps Gemm would like to play scratch & sniff for us.:rotfl:

I have a couple of those scented embossing powders they are Christmas ones...Cinnamon (red colour) and Yuletide evergreen (dark green). They don't smell very much in the jars, I don't know what they will smell like when heated up. Probably nothing cos I've had them ages lol

Sounds very much like the spices in my larder :D I threw a couple away in the week with a sell by date of 1997, I can't remember what an earth I bought them for :D

:rotfl::rotfl:Glad it not just me then!! My grandmother always said Mr Coleman got rich on the mustard thats thrown away not the stuff thats eaten! Which when you think about it its true even if you try to mix the right amount of powder there is always a bit to throw away.
  • Rainmac - thanks for the link they were one of the ones I was looking at, can you let me know how you get on with them please? I've got a few MC's and struggle to get the card/paper out of the dies which is kind of putting me off of getting them. I'm tempted by the new nesties snowflake dies, but obviously you only get one design of snowflake. Thanks for your congratulations - I was really shocked to have won, especially as she handpicked the winner.

Marg - glad you enjoyed your wedding. x

    Melissa
    - did you get the other email from me? Have a great time tomorrow whatever you decide to do. Oh and if you decide to get some scented embossing powder don't buy the Debbie Moore ones they are carp - I have three jars and they lose their smell immediately upon heating, the colour pigment stains the card so you end up with colour streaks everywhere and when you heat it, the finish is dimpled not glossy!

I'm just waiting for my stickles to dry and thought I'd pop on here to try and keep up. I don't fancy another mega catch up session, so figure it's easier to flit on and off of here!

WBR I read somewhere about giving the Marianne Creatables a few hard whacks on the edge of the table, it works for me especially with the flourish dies and also the spellbinders Medallions too.

Also, have a moan to Debbie Moore Crafts about them, you might get your pennies back. Do you swish over your card with an anti-static bag, it does help.

    Evening,

Rainmac, I have the MC snowflake dies and find the largest one a git to get out, think I will try the wifes suggestion and wack it on something, they are nice though,

Melissa happy 1st birthday to your little one tomorrow, and i agree thank you for the list it is great,

Tomsmum your puppy is gorgeous I would love one but DH is allergic to animal fur,

Flourgirl the fluffy stuff looks really interesting, I may have to investigate

Thrifty, I have a bread maker and have just started using it again, DS is going through a awkward food stage again but he will eat my home made bread ( well the bread mixes but he doesn't know that) and home made yoghurt with honey, You can't beat the smell though

ok my mind has now gone blank so a HUGE HELLO to everyone else hope your all doing well,

We have had a lovely day even though we all got soaking wet, We visited a classic car show over Mount Edgecombe and they had a car boot and summer fayre as well, we went across on the Cremyll ferry and the children loved it, but just as we entered the grounds the heavens opened and we all got soaked, and we finished the day off with lunch in The water dragon, eat as much as you like chinese. Hopefully tomorrow i'll get a chance to do some crafting,

    take care jo x

Thanks, I've tried bashing them and no joy. I end up prising them out with a pokey tool. When I did the butterflies for Ellie's party invites it took me for ever as I had to prise each one out. I think it might just be me!! I wondered about trying some silicone spray to see if that made any difference.

I've swished the anti-static over and tried heating from above and below the image with no luck. When you sprinkle the powder over and then tap it off, the colour dye kind of smear everywhere, almost like it seperated out from the powder iyswim. I wrote to the company I bought them from and they were supposed to be getting back to me, but not heard anything yet!
