Not much crafting for me this week apart from the teacher gifts, I feel so lost
I've had such a busy week of clearing out the house ready for the old boiler to be taken out & a new one put in. I can't beleave how much stuff I've taken to the charity shops & yet theres still no room for clothes!! lol We're off to do a car boot tomo (with kids in tow) to hopefully sell some bits....never done a car boot before any tips??How much cash should I take for change! eerrr sorry for the questions
x as we'll have the kiddies we can only take so much so I'm hoping what I've sorted out fits in with us all too! I've promised the kids a McD's if there good & I'm charging their DS's up
I've put stickers on everything too with the prices, (I'd like) thought it would help hubby
lol I think we may be having to do a few of these this yr to clearout all the baby toys & clutter!! lol
Also sos so not on topic....any good laptops for sale anywhere does anyone know?x
Hope you all have a great evening, I start work in an hour...yeah!xXx
We did one when I was when I was pregnant with DS2 and we needed to shed some stuff to make some space. Take as much change as you can. I priced all our stuff too and I think that helps massively on the day. I took carrier bags too and people seemed to appreciate them. Get there early if you can. Good luck x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Ahhh LOL!!!!
I was just browing online and saw this site - they have a little sale on and seem quite well priced. Lots of cheap toppers and diecuts for anyone that doesn't make their own and postage done by weight. I've never used them but thought they might help someone! (not on a stash ban!!!):rotfl:The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Oh Mary that must be awful, is there nothing medical they can do?
Thank you flourgirl, I've had quite a crafty week for me
I am still in my can't be bothered mood, what can I make for tea that is easy yet yummy? I have sausages in the fridge, maybe they'll do...

Gemm – glad you had a lovely day with your OH in Ironbridge.
Melissa – have thought about you/OH today, hope everything went well him. Thanks for the link to the mint/chocolate challenge. Will try and have a go.
Thanks for the advice on mists/powders and sprays – ill do some more investigating.
Re DST – I bought one of those DST guns when they were on offer from 3M a couple of months ago, but I don’t seem to have the knack of using it. When I have tried it on quite a few cards, it only appears to take half the tape off, and the rest is left on the white ‘peel’. It also goes on a bit lumpy and not smooth, so it there a knack to it and can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong please? Is it another case of a left hander not being able to use it?
Thanks for letting us know about the Mo Manning freebie PONR.
WBR – I am jealous of you going to Florida even if it is a long way away. We were going next year, but our childminder wants to do a big family holiday with the families of the kids she minds (we are all like sisters) so Florida is out for another year.
Crafty JuJu – I’ve done quite a few car boots. My advice would be, take about £10 in change for a float, you will probably find the first few people give you notes and if you don’t have change then they walk off and don’t come back. I would not price anything up in advance. For the first car boot I did, I didn’t sell, much as I thought I would, people seemed to be put off the prices even though I had things going for £1 or £2 and they were worth £5 or £10 and everything was if really good condition. Now when I do a car boot, I have an idea in my head of what I want for the things I am selling, so if I want say £5 for an item, and someone asks how much I might say £5.50, they will usual say £4.50 which is close enough for me to make the sale, I get rid of my things, and they feel like they have got a bargain. Have to say though if a kids asks for something I would general sell it for a bit less than if an adult had asked, which is why I don’t price anything up.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
CT19720 - I don't know if it's of any help, but if you do Florida as DIY holiday it won't cost you much if anymore than going abroad or holidaying in this country. On The Dibb there are people who rent out their villas for a fraction of what Virgin and Thompson charge and they are all really trustworthy and recommended by Dibb members. Take a peek here Also, there is a fair amount of insider info re flights and when sales start.0

Thank you so much WBR - this info is fab, as our friend who wants to organise something has suggested All Inclusive somewhere in Spain, but to be honest it will probably work out about £2000 for the four of us, which I think is a lot for a weeks holiday in spain. So will try to suggest Florida, as there would be 13 of us, and if we could get cheap flights and split the cost of a villa with pool, then it may work out cheaper. Thanks again.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -

a little bit of help please, my SIL is expecting her 3rd in 2 - 3 weeks, the older two are 6 and 4 and we think a bit of jealousy might kick in so I want to make them both something special, I have already made them, sweetie bouquets, lollipop holders and altered picture frames.... Any ideas???.... I just want to make them feel special too and not all for the baby
PS my spell check does not work on here with my laptop but it does on my PC, any ideas what I should be doing ..... bound to be something simple0
