I've got a CBOTB background on my garden blog and have had the same message. Their site is running very slow at the moment but I managed click on the link for info and it is something to do with bandwith. All you need to do is choose a new blog background and replace your present one. It's running too slow ATM and I have to go out but will go back tonight.

Qwiksave You shouldn't have to abandon your blog. It will probably revert to the original blogger template (minima??) and just be plain. You can always choose another background from somewhere else (google free blooger backgrounds) and follow the instructions, they're not too hard as I can do it!!!

Thanks for that reply but my problem is I'm not sure where I put the code for the replacement. ;)

quiksave I've just changed my blog background. Trying to explain it simply,

Login to your blog and go to 'design' On the left or right hand side under 'add a gadget' you should find 'HTML/JavaScript' , this is most likely your blog background, click 'edit' check it out, somewhere in the code you should see the words cutest blog on the block. If so, click on the 'remove' button. Under add a gadget find the HTML/JavaqScript and hit the plus button, this will open a new box.

Open up a new tab and go to the cutest blog site and find a background you like, click on it to get to the code, (I'm assuming these are ok, highlight all the code and hold down the Ctrl and C to copy the text, go back to your blog and in the HTML box press Ctrl and V to paste the code in there and save.

It looks like the same as the other blog background site last week, they are so big and get so many hits Photobucket want monies to host them.

I hope this is understandable, if not let me know.

rainmac Snap - I'll be sitting in the dentist chair in an hour. Good luck with yours

Sorry TiredMom I should have checked it first. Try this link

Nooooooooo I really like my blog background. I'll check it at lunchtime.

Had a rubbish night last night. OH had a really big black cloud hanging over him and I never know what to do - to I try to cheer him up, do I leave him to work it out himself. I did try to talk to him about it but his standard answer is "I don't want to talk about it - it'll make it worse" He did phone me on his way to work this morning to say he was going to try to be more positive today, so we'll see what tonight brings. I know some of you sometimes feel like this, do you have any suggestions for me please as to how to help him when he feels like this?

Thanks for this. I'm afraid I still can't seem to manage it. I go into Design from my homepage and then I'm not sure which 'Add a gadget' I need? All the ones I press are for new ones? I wonder whether I've got a different version? I also went into 'Edit HTML' which edits the template. I haven't altered anything but it doesn't mention Cutest Blog on the Block anywhere. Ooh, I'm wasting my morning trying to sort this, thanks again but I don't want to interrupt this forum with me and this problem!

quiksave, don't despair, it'll come right in the end, what does your HTML code say?

Just try the 'add a gadget' and open up a new one copy and paste the code and see if it overwrites the original code with the new code. It sounds complicated I know, it has had me in a muddle before.

    You are not a problem
