Hi girls!
Lots to catch up on today! Phew!!
Goan, I acknowledged your post earlier, but no time to post til now. So sorry to hear about your mum. Can't begin to imagine what it must have been like to have been stuck as you were, knowing what was going on at home. Such a shock as well, when so unexpected. Thinking of you.
Next.........yes well it's not targetted at most of you lot!! I think Next's target customer is definitely a little older than most of you!! Many of their clothes are quite figure-friendly and a bit more generous in their cut than some of the younger stores.
A lot of their stuff does seem a bit repetitive from season to season, I agree, but lots of people are daunted at the prospect of putting together outfits and they do offer reasonable quality easy-to-wear clothes at middle-of -the-road prices and the online range is massive. I defy anyone not to find something they like there.
I also like the fact that the online Next website that the clothes are actually modelled and put together as outfits, so people like me with limited imagination can actually get an idea of how to put outfits together as opposed to seeing them as disembodied items on a website!
I don't buy lots of stuff from Next, but I do always consider them and do have a few pieces which I like and wear!!
Vicky......when the jumble sale season kicks off in the Autumn, have a look for clothes where you can recycle the fabric for smaller sewing projects. Fabric is sooo expensive now. Do you have a shop locally where you can buy fabric by the kg? We have a chain locally called Abakhan, which sells fabrics by the kg quite cheaply. We are also lucky to have this shop locally on the Wirral. Certainly not cheap, but lovely for a browse around and a coffee in the cafe in the craft courtyard.

Morning all

slow start here, was up at half 4, but managed to go back to bed for an hour or so about half 7!
Hoping the weather holds so Mum and I go in to town later, but I'm not getting my hopes up as we'll not be leaving till lunch time and I bet as soon as the clock hits 12 the sun will vanish and it'll pour down
Outfit un-decided as yet. That's the next step after a cup of tea!0 -
Morning all. It'd be nice if everyone spoke very quietly today, i'm feeling a little delicate

No idea about an outfit though, breakfast is the next mountain to climb.0 -
Aw bless ya Tsabo

Well, looks like we're shopping
I'm only allowed to go in to a couple of shops then have to rest in starbucks whilst Mum goes where she wants to go, but given I've been told crowded places are a no go for me due to low white blood count, I'm just going to enjoy being naughty
Outfit:
Black and blue floral vest: New Look
Grey jumper dress with lace front: Primark
Black leggings: New Look
Grey cardi: Matalan
Black flat ankle boots: Dps
and probably a jacket as well, remembering how blue with cold I got last time.0 -

we, DH and I are both just wearing t shirts and pants....well, I have a bra on too. We're having a lazy day and taking turns on the wii fit thingy. I think we're getting more cardio work laughing at each other than doing the exercise though:o0 -
Had a little look in the clothes shops in town today and came away with two t-shirts for the gym and some earrings
The earrings are cute though they were £2 in peacocks and then I went into DP's and they had an identical pair in there for £5 this is them. I would have been gutted had I bought them in DP and then saw them in Peacocks. You can stand there and agonize........

I've got little rose bud earrings from George and paid £1.50 for them, when I was in Topshop the other day the same pair was £3.50 - its mad isn't it? just got in car needed new brakes so thats just set me back £300+, bit mad really as it only had a mot 6 weeks ish ago and the garage which is a main dealership gave me an advisory notice but there was literally no brake pad left it was metal on metal hence new brake pads and shoes:mad:0

They are soooo pretty!!!!! Definitely the nicest rose earrings I've seen. Thanks Kandi, I will go hunting in Peacocks (even though the nearest one to me is awkward to get to - none in city centre here, just retail parks grr).I've got little rose bud earrings from George and paid £1.50 for them, when I was in Topshop the other day the same pair was £3.50 - its mad isn't it? just got in car needed new brakes so thats just set me back £300+, bit mad really as it only had a mot 6 weeks ish ago and the garage which is a main dealership gave me an advisory notice but there was literally no brake pad left it was metal on metal hence new brake pads and shoes:mad:
Bummer about the £300, I'm sure you're mad thinking about the nice things you could have spent it on!!! I feel for you lola xoGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Oh god :-/ in Cardiff, finally after my plan of leaving at 10 got shifted bc to leaving at midday as friend wasn't ready

now we're at the hotel, and I'm getting annoyed with her :-/ she's one of these ppl who seems intent on planning everything.
I'm frustrated because she doesn't want to do anything (ie shopping) today before the concert in case she gets too tired. And she doesn't want to leave the hotel too early in the morning because she wants to get her 8hrs sleep. Ugh, I've paid for a hotel so tht we could have this afternoon / tomorrow in the city, and she needs to be home by 5 tomorrow (which means leaving here 2ish) but she only tells me this today!
Sorry for the rant
