Gorgeous mirror Tara!!!
Morning all, didn't get on yesterday was at car booty and supermarket shopping- oh what an life- ha ha, did pick up some wide leg jeans with buttins up the front a la nautical style, two buttons are missing so hoping to rearrange them and put a gold one at each side at the top, for a £1:D
DS's are off today for PD day, they have already said they want a lazy day so will prob be in pj's most of it, forecast rain but seems ok at the moment.
Vicki- can't wait to see your maxi dress when its done, I did once make a body suit -if anyone can remember them the first time around when I was in college in 1990 but used the wrong material so it was a bit baggy:o
Hope you all have a great day0 -
Morning, I'm just finishing getting ready before heading out for my appointment.
Outfit is:
Cream fine knit short sleeve top: H&M
Checked faded pink, blue and green fine cord dress: Topshop
Purple tights: Primark
Grey thin cardi: New Look
Brown low heel strappy sandals: New Look
and probably a jacket of some kind as although it's sunny, it looks quite cold out.
Then back home for baking. Will need to move faster than I thought as found out Dad intends to come home earlier than usual and the cake is a suprise, dammit.0 -
ugh. i have just managed to ladder my tights - new on this morning!
ETA - thinking about it, i bought one of the boxes of 5 paoirs, last time i was at porimark. this is the fourth i've worn, and the third which has laddered whilst i've put them on. they;re size L, so definitely not doing it because they're too small, i think the quality has just got worse. i always get these tights, and they are cheap, so you don't expect them to last ages, but in the past i've had plenty more than just one wear from them.0 -
Pirate fairy, I am really good at laddering tights!
Tara, I have a mirror very, very like that in storage, and two matching little corner mirrors with shelves...the corner ones have some broken glass, and because its the original glass (they are original Italian glitz ) we don't want them too repaired till we can afford to get a really good replacement, not flat mass produced glass mirror. When we had them up we improvised with some tin foil!
I really need some sleep. It is testament to the strength of my skin care that I look in anyway human. Last night the dogs joined in the ''lets keep Mamma awake'' game. and the phones are beeping crazily, so I guess we had a power outage or something through the night but the noise has driven me so crazy I've gathered up all the phones and put them under some pillows.
Today I wan to wear one of my new tops, the green and blue one. Its fine, a little snug over the hips, but fine. I'm going to wear it with a longer t shirt (in fact I think grey vest from asda...one of those things I should have bought two of) and I'm undecided whether to wear it with jeans (slightly too loose but safe) or jeggings....not sure the vest is long enough at the back....I have now found my self the owner of white jeggings...I think I was missing my polo days....but I'm just not sure I dare....too micheline mad I think! Though the idea would be good...if I were a size 12/14I'd look curvily delicious!
accessories will be a cream and multi-coloured embroidery silk hand back (bought in a sale from an independant) wedding ring, opal ring, glass studs, blue and green bracelet, pearl and wood bracelets, possibly some more bead bracelets...I have lots of blue and green to play with.
And I think the new bottle necklace.
sunglasses...I think my light Oscar de la Renta ones...its not bright out....and maybe some blue and calico wedges, which I think were bought at a next outlet, which amazes me...I don't think I own one single other thing from next.0 -
Lovely mirror Tara, Freecycle has been good to me here, and I do Freecycle a fair bit too, I've posted 2 pairs of Clarks kids shoes in great condition and had no takers though.
Lola, I made a body when I was about 12 as mum wouldn't let me have one, I had to put it on at my friends!
Hope everyone has a great day xxx0 -
Morning all. Alex the photos are lovely
Good luck with the fast baking Daisy!
Dyed my hair last night so am feeling all shiny
Wearing same green tweed skirt as yesterday with black v neck top and black tights, black heels, black bead bracelets and black and silver art deco style necklace. Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
We have looking into freecycle/freegle/fre to collect several times. I think we'll have to be more serious now. My dad is moving home this weekend, and is vacating his london home, so all the stuff is coming here. This house is smaller than my parents last house, they came from a six bedroom house to three, then I brought stuff from my house, (they attic as well as our storage containers) then DH's inheritance was furniture....the storage containers and a shed n the garden....
It would be nice o let someone else have the benefit of some of this stuff. I think maybe it would be better to deal with Dad's stuff now and ours when we move....trying to work out what we can part with while its all stacked up is a recipe for disaster I think.0 -
When we put our house on the market, we spent a day giving stuff away on Freecycle - it was amazing how many people turned up to take away boxes of our 'junk'! We cleared the loft out completely (except the suitcases and Xmas trees) and now have quite a clutter-free house. It just frustrates me that I can't buy anything to fill the space - I do like a bit of clutter

I really need to start photographing all my old clothes ready to ebay them. Hopefully at some point this long weekend if I get a minute.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
