Ohh up on Great Homer St? My friend is always bagging the most amazing bargains from there but I've never been
Must must must go once I have some money and a free Saturday (so probably in mid 2011
)
Have you been to Grand Central (aka the new Quiggins) yet? Some amazing little shops in there, and a very nice vintage shop (Raiders?) over the road from it.
Yus, I love a day out in Southport for charity and book shopping. While I'm thinking about charity shops, if you get the bus out to Allerton Road then there are about 8 within half a mile of each other
Ah, how I love Superlambananas. The Penguins were rubbish in comparison.
Philippa - sounds like a productive shop! Is that your outfit all sorted then?
Yes, I think so, I just need to try it all together. Spent half the afternoon painting my nails! I've also decided to get the espadrilles too, as they'll look better with the dress for the rest of the summer when I don't need to dress quite so formally - hoping for lots of sunny weekends now!
If you come over this side of the water, West Kirby is quite good for charity shops (plus a walk on the beach and ice-creams!) as is Heswall.
A friend of mine had a stall at Paddy's market - we used to pick up all kinds of stuff, including gorgeous chinese parasols that we decorated our flat with. That takes me back!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Hope this doesn't sound boastful but I've just taken some pics for the blog and I think I look fab today
This is such a rare occurence - the pics on the blog are generally the best of a bad bunch, I never actually like the way I look in them. 0 -
Aw Alex, not boastful at all, I'm delighted for you

I feel the same about photos alex, I never feel happy with my ones. I've felt frumpy all week, I need to step up the weight loss and eating habits I think!
And daisy don't worry about it..if you don't feel like blogging about you, why not show off some of your bday goodies to us nosey folk!?0 -

Afternoon everyone. Had a pretty busy day and i'm now slobbing about in leggings, a vest dress and a hoody. I should be banned from the thread!
DB your presents sound lovely. Glad you had a nice day
And Vicki the dresses are lovely. The black one would look nice in floral material. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
I'm going to give up my streak of being a bad ebayer and an awful blogger and start again this weekend with a view to actually carry on!0 -

I'm in my dressing gown (the shame) waiting to watch the leaders' debate!!!! And browsing eBay in the meantime. I've posted some of my recent bargain finds on the shabby chic thread, must blog them too. I also got the most GORGEOUS rococo mirror free on Freecycle, I am beyond thrilled.
