Afternoon lovely ladies
Daisy, we've been shopping today and it was extremely busy ! I think you're right about payday, the shops were jam packed !
lostinrates - I'd say get the lamps if you can afford them. You will probably only regret it afterwards xx We're only here once so may as well make the most of it and as they say 'you can't take it with you'.
rainbow, you're outfit sounds lovely !
retro, I read your blog too- in fact I think I read everyone's to get some ideas and inspiration. I'm a bit shy about posting comments but I'm starting to get a bit braver
.
Today's shopping expedition yielded:
2 pairs of wedges from a CS (atmosphere) for £4.50 each - brand new. No idea what they cost new but I liked them (blue and green) so I'll pop a pic up on my blog a bit later.
Nothing from the car boot sale - it was really pants this week. Loads of dealers and no 'booters' - will try again next week.
A new dyson . It had £90 off and my old one has just about given up the ghost. We have a doggie and have 1 asthmatic in the house so need a really good hoover. This came out of hubby's bonus so no dent in the general 'housekeeping'
.
Today's outfit:
Jeans (old ones from DP)
Turquoise 100% cotton t-shirt from CS the other day (New Look)
Grey single button cardi (20p from jumble sale)
Trusty old black knee high boots
Turquoise necklace, no idea where I got it from, got it years ago. I'll pop a picture up of this later too.
Any more thoughts on the clothes swap ladies?:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
My only idea swap wise would be to set up a blog that we all have post access to, or that a couple of us have access to and post items up there and we could then organise the swaps through there. I'm pretty sure I could set that up but it might get complicated, so if anyone has a simpler suggestion...0

been a quiet day on this thread so far!
I've been boring today and wearing jeans and a tshirt (though it is a tshirt i like the pic on from threadless) and a long dark grey cardigan.
Went to town earlier and was shocked to find nothing in primark or H&M i wanted to buy which is pretty unusual! (Except leggings which i couldnt be bothered to queue up to pay for)
OH took me into John Lewis because he wanted to look at a tv he's thinking of getting and i wanted lots of the pretty cushions and the wicker swing sofa (but it was about £1500 ) Maybe when i'm rich
The shops were packed here too so we didn't go many places.0 -
Phew- I'm back Jumble sale and house clearing - my car came home full up - I was on empty as only had breakfast and got back at 3pm so was really hungry.
JS was fab with loads of bragins -will post on the other thread but got some vintage Ladybird books for 10p each so me and OH are re -living our childhoods:D0 -
Oh, just realised that I hadn't posted an outfit!
It was:
Shrunken "The Strokes" Teeshirt (Jumble sale)
Turquoise tulip skirt (River Island)
Turquoise tights worn underneath black lacey ones
Black platform ankle boots (Miss Selfridge)
Vintage leopard coat (Jumble sale)
Silver tassel earrings (Car Boot)
Usual silver rings and bangles (India)
But now I'm trying on a rather lovely 1960's teal blue two-piece I picked up in a charity shop today. I've done my hair up in a Lady Ga-Ga inspired bow and I'm modelling it on my updated blog. Probably go out like it later, saves battling my overflowing wardrobe.
Blog swap sounds a fab idea, Daisy!
jtb - It's lovely to get comments, don't be shy. Car boot season is still a bit rubbish at the moment, it'll get going properly around Easter. All there is at our nearest one is bin bags and socks, not really worth a trip out.0 -
Would a facebook group work for organising swapping? The photos might get a bit disorganised though.
Oh and daisy i really like the grey & teal combination. Makes me wish i'd bought the tights i saw today because i have a few grey things but i seem to stick to dark tights/leggings (primark have rose & teal tights reduced to 50p at the moment).0 -
Oh coloured tights are so much fun! I'm obsessed!0

Hi all,
Today I've been wearing:
-bootcut jeans (new look)
-dark pink long sleeved top (Next sale)
-long pendant style necklace (Primark £2.50)
Just been doing jobs round the house so didn't want to dress up really
Goanmad- how does your two layer tights work- does your top lacy pair show the colour through? I like this idea- might try it out.
Yesterday I wore:
- brown tights (Tesco)
- brown and white skirt, knee length (Bay)
- white big shoulder style top (Next)
- brown long necklace (can't remember where I bought them)
- Brown knee length boots (Tu, sainsburys)
I'm loving coloured tights/ leggings at the minute. Don't know what I will wear in summer tho!0 -
Happy- I wear my tights year round haha. I cant stand going bare legged0
-
lir - get the lamps!0
