Congratulations on the egg Lost! Are there signs of anymore? Can we have pictures when things are at the cute and fluffy stage?

Technically not belated DB as it's my birthday today. :) I just meant it would be nice from the people last night as I'm not seeing them today.

Lots of Soap and Glory goodies from my mum :D Going to have a bubble bath and a face mask. After I go back to bed for a while anyway..

I'm so annoyed with one of my RL friends. I barely see any of them anymore, and despite telling them I can't get out much and they are more than welcome to call in here for a drink and catch up/texting them regularly to get no reply, I never hear a thing.
Anyway, it was one of my closest friend's birthdays on Tuesday and she was working and I knew I wouldn't be able to go to her evening get together so I dropped a card and present round. Now, it wasn't very exciting, only a New Look voucher but I haven't had any acknowledgement, or a thanks or anything.

I'm sick of only being contacted when I'm fun or well enough. I do text when I can, or call, but what's the point in me trying to make plans that I know I can't be involved in?

...and I know when I'm in hospital they'll be trying to visit every day and do the caring friend bit. Despite knowing they are talking behind my back (there are no secrets in this town).

    *ends rant*

off to find something to wear.

daisybella, she'll almost certainly thank you when she next sees you. One of the things I found hard about adjusting to ''sick leave'' is the pace of life..because we have time to nurture valid annoyances they become much bigger. I hate to admit when I was wll it probably would take me far to long to send thanks.

I'm looking for camera fo piccies, tbh ''Cobar'' as it is called for now, will be cuter in a day or so. Still ''she'' (we hope as many as possible will be ''she''s) is almost dry now and sitting in the brooder, a little early, but she was starting to fluster in the incubator....a fancy term for what is a cardboard box in a dog crate under a pig lamp on the kitchen table. She's got great feet (our only hatch last year had malformed feet..) hers are absolutely perfect. She's our first cross breed.

I think that one of the other eggs might be showing some movement, but it might be wishful thinking, this could all take a couple of days, so I'm not too worried.

Lost, I haven't seen this friend in months, she's the worst one for never getting back to me...in fact she seems to actively avoid me these days :o
I kind of wish I'd just sent a card, then treated her to something if/when I do see her. I could have done with the money right now.
    Anyway
need to let it go. I'm just stressing myself out and I'm trying to be more positive. Hopefully seeing a friend from a different social circle tomorrow, and have tentative plans to meet up with another for a quick coffee on Tuesday so it's not all bad :)

I really want to see the chick!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tsabo!!!! Hope you have a lovely day xx

Lost - How wonderful about the hatchling, I love baby animals so you have to put a photo on or I'll be very disapointed lol! Totally agree with what you said to DB re friends when you're ill.
I was sick probably not as long as some of you but I did have a lot of time to dwell on things and build up resentment. I felt let down by a lot of people who probably found it incredibly boring visiting me (I know this now!) as I would fall asleep every few minutes in the middle of conversaion and repeat myself more than my dear old nan who had alzheimers!

I've taken a couple of pictures on my phone, but I'll have to have the photo argument with the computer later:o

    Oh, outfit today:
My lovely playsuit, wanted one for ages but thought they wouldn't suit me.
It's navy silky (probably polyester) and covered in a dark pink and cornflower blue, poppy print. The puffy short sleeves are slightly gathered at the shoulder seam which is really pretty and flattering on the arm, It has a polka dot tie belt, buttons at the front and rounded shirt collar and pockets at the side.
It's a beautiful fit and I'm chuffed to bits that it had been further reduced in the sale to £12. It was £38 to start.

I'm wearing it with my tan wedges, but haven't got round to acessorising yet.
