I kind of feel the same Lost,
I've made incredible friends online, especially you girls
but I know that when I've come through this I am going to have to really try and get involved in "real life" a bit more too.
Hopefully striking a good balance :)

Is it just me or do some posts on this H&B board (not us) seem to be getting more aggro?

    QUOTE]

Yup! I know exactly which ones you were referring to.

I was sorely tempted to chip in to say that I'd prefer to be told by a man that I had a beautiful face.........than a beautiful ******. But my opinion has always been to withdraw from this stuff, especially if the OP has a decent number of good answers already.

I think what is easy to forget is that in most cases there is actually no need to respond or explain yourself, especially when, in one's own opinion, the tone of the thread changes for the worse. Left alone these things fade away very quickly. This is also quite deflating to those who thrive on acidic comments, argy-bargy and confrontation.

Aw honey, I don't want to slag off your mates or anything, but they shouldn't be thinking like that! One of my mates was incredibly depressed for quite a long period of time and we didn't go "oh she can't do fun stuff anymore, let's ignore her", we did the stuff that she felt happy doing when she felt ready to do it.

ps - coffee and chat is never boring!!

Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?

I'm going to a wedding on Tuesday and panicking about fitting into my nice dress!!!!!!!!

p.s. agree 100% with what you said to daisy also xo
I don't like bank holidays either vicki I'd rather be at work!

I love all days off. :D

Well I got a big bag of grated carrot yellow stickered yesterday so I'm thinking carrot cake muffins.
Also picked up a tin of croissant pastry in Aldi, think it was about 80p to make six so we might make them as well and have one for lunch. They're about 130 cals each so as long as I only have one with some low fat cream cheese and a smidge of bacon in it it will be OK. Maybe not if I have a couple of muffins too though. I suspect this week will not be loss week lol!

Can you buy ready grated carrot now??????????????

Your baking plans sound fab btw. :)

Its a bit scary. When i was really ill and couldn't get out and was tired and confused and frustrated when I did the internet became a real refuge. In increasingly, as I get better and better, I feel the need to challenge this internet comfort zone and meet real people. Things like the shortness of temper here, and changes on the other board, the debate board, make me feel this is more and more important ATM :( with the time restrictions I now have, with the animals, and the issues of living miles away from my remaining RL friends, sometimes countries away....its easier to chat with nice gals like you lot but I have to start pushing my boundaries more :(

Oh God, I know what thread you're talking about now!!! I posted on that one too blush.gif It did get very silly and I sort of regretted posting on it (I wasn't one of the rude ones mind!!).

I have seen other threads get very nasty too - someone verbally attacked me once for no reason at all and starting PMing horrible comments, weird!!!

I wish it would stop chucking down,
Mum and I have grand plans lol.
We're going to do Morrisons and Lidl as planned then pop along to another area of the same town (the "posh" area) where they have a newly opened bead shop, so I can hopefully get some jewellery making bits for hospital, and some gorgeous gift shops + kitchen shops to look in, as well as the best charity shops in the area.
I can tell how desperate my parents are to keep me busy and distracted though, as normally if it's pouring down plans get cancelled :o
