I actually bought a waterproof book from Poundland...it's amazing, packed full of short stories from such greats as Graham Green and Edna O'Brien!

I've got that too. I always read in the bath and I'm ashamed to say I've had to replace books after dropping them in (but I always dry the soggy one off and keep it for the bathroom). Currently need to replace Valley of the Dolls as the cover's starting to fall off - it's one of my fave books to read in the bath.

Unlike Goan and Alex, I have the opposite problem with my little head. Some hats look right stupid on a pea head. :rotfl:

Oooh while hats are on topic, I like wearing my hat but I get confused about hat etiquette. Should you take it off indoors, to eat etc. If I wear one I kind of want to keep it on otherwise I might as well have done my hair in the first place.

Queenie, yes get married ASAP then you can stop the pretence:rotfl:.
Although before we moved in my DH ate like a sparrow, and while I'm thinking, oooh food bills are going to be cheap, turns out he was just being polite, so it works both ways!

oh the pretence has gone long ago...we've lived together for nearly 2 years so he *really* knows what a housework slob I am :rotfl: I like to keep him on his toes every now and then though bu actually doing a bit ;)

Right really am going now!! xx

    *gone*
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*

on the subject of hats I love hats but my hair hates them, my curls end up going all flat and I look a bit weird when I take my hat off

the delight of curls. I love hats, but believe they are for hair up /back days. It looks much better both with and without the hat. Other wise you have to find somewhere you can bend over to let your hair go upside down.;):o

So much chat to catch up on! I'll do my best.

Goan - I didn't realise there was anything wrong with Nestle really. My grandma lives next to and worked in the York factory so I guess i've been brought up a bit biased. It also smells so good on a windy day!

RE hair - I was mine every other day I think. However my roots are foul! I'd say at least an inch and a half on each side. I'm not really going anywhere and we've just got a new bathroom so i'm banned from redoing it at the moment.

I also have a big head. I love reading in the bath, no idea how I could do it in the shower though?!

Sorry about the job Magpye xx

We girls can keep our hats on. Men should take them off. really we shouldn't wear lots of styles of hat in the evening, but style pretty much dictates that anyway.

I get irrationally annoyed when guys don't take hats/caps off in the house...serious ly irrationally. (My inlaws are all Jewish and I of course do not object to that sort of thing). Best friends new boyfirend didn't remove his cap at tea and I'm trying to dig deep into my heart and not hold it against him, but I am really...narrow mindedly, annoyed. :o:o

Oooh thanks Lost I really didn't want to look rude so've been taking it off indoors and then feeling like I want it on.
Silly really it's only a hat but I know it can really upset people.
Turns out it is sometimes better to be a woman!
  • does anyone else obsess about ebay when they are selling stuff...I'm so sad i keep checking to see if anyone is watching or has made a bid...stuff doesn't end for another 2 days

Yes I'm exactly like that then I decide what I will do with the money from items which have bids on (and therefore will be sold)

Re: dry shampoo- I like Bastiste- have blonde hair so colour is not a problem. I like the pink Blush or tropical (original is yuck) x

No, you're fine. For obvious reasons of security make sure you look up and smile, so people can see your face.

likewisesunglasses, I always wear sunglasses, but when I meet people, greet them or whatever I take them of smile then apologise for wearing sunglasses and put them back on. Its polite to let people see your face and eyes. Otherwise we can be a little intimidating.:o

sneaks in through the door and hopes no one notices she's been AWOL for a few days :o

    Hello lovely ladies ! :D

It's been an incredibly busy week here (Guides, allotment yesterday, most of the day in the greenhouse today) so I'm sorry I've not been able to keep up with you all.

I'll try and catch up tomorrow :).

I've been staying away from the CS as I can't fit anything else into my wardrobe . It's that jammed full that there's no point in me ironing anything until I need it because it just gets creased up again when I've ironed it :p. That's not a bad thing though and I'm enjoying chosing my clothes in the morning for the first time in ages !

I had a quick check in on my blog earlier and I've got 20 followers so I think I ought to do a giveaway? I'm a complete virgin when it comes to blogs so if someone could give me some pointers, I'd be eternally grateful .

I can't wait to read what you've all been up to and catch up with your blogs ..... I've missed this thread ! :o
