Sorry to hear about the job Magpye. Definitely there loss.

I'm in the big head camp too. I only suit berets or floppy beanies!

Oooh while hats are on topic, I like wearing my hat but I get confused about hat etiquette. Should you take it off indoors, to eat etc. If I wear one I kind of want to keep it on otherwise I might as well have done my hair in the first place.

Depends on the weight of the hat I think. If it was a heavy winter hat then take it off. Im currently on the look out for a few nice lightweight crotched hats that I can wear during the spring. I miss wearing my hats on the school run its too warm now lol

What do you think about a baker boy style? It's not a lightweight fabric, kind of tweedy but not a wooly hat.
  • I think you could get away with wearing that indoors...I love baker boy caps but they are a style I never suit :(

Re hair / I can't get away with washing it less than every two days, it gets greasy and I hate it :( but I need to start taking better care of it and drying it properly.

I love hats but my head is too big so the only ones o can really get away with are berets, whch I have s lot of for that reason lol

Stick one arm out of the water spray and hold the book. Use the other hand to lather up and rinse with :)

Some juggling of shampoo bottles is necessary though. Oh and we don't have a very powerful shower which probably helps.

I bought a really cute baker boy/some other kind of style that I can't think of the name of type hat from Accessorize a month or so ago - must try it on and gather opinion as to whether it actually suits me or not.

Don't know if anyone's said this but I saw the black Batiste in Superdrug a couple of weeks ago (typical, could have done with that up til a few weeks ago!).
I always leave a hat on once it is on. I've got very thin fine greasy hair and a small narrow head so once I have hat hair I look most peculiar. Everyone knows if they see me with a hat and glasses on the school run it is because I have greasy hair and no make up!
Off to look for the no rinse shampoo now, it sounds great for camping and I assume there will be no talc effect...
