Thanks girls, I always feel guilty when I don't wash things, the only thing I leave til it is actually dirty is skirts, prob why I wear so many of them! I will now make and effort to recycle clothes more, as Alex said better for the environment too. Thank you!

ETA - Mariel - I'm probably a complete skank and will get drummed out of the fashion thread for owning up to this but I almost never wash a top after one wear, it's more likely two or three. And jeans get washed after about 6 wears or possibly more :o - if clothing isn't dirty and doesn't smell then it's a waste of time and resources to be constantly washing them!

I'm a bit like that too. I'm always behind with the washing and ironing so it only gets washed if it needs it.......scummy mummy :rotfl:

Lost, comprehensible? You are one of the most eloquent people I have come across :o
Thank you :o:o if you look back at my first posts here you'll see really odd things. I know my spelling is still a bit off and weird, but I am a lot better. I had to re learn ''language'' after being ill. I used to be bilingual, then I could barely communicate and had weird things. I had words, but couldn't match them. e.g. I used to call a ''burp'' a ''herring''!:rotfl: I still struggle sometimes finding the actual word I want, which means sometimes I can seem either blunter, or more flowery than I am really being.

Things took a big leap on the last meds I was on (which weren't meant to help at all), but they've been withdrawn. :(

re jeans: you shouldn't wash them a lot. A tumble drier if you have one, with a careful use of a dangerous bounce sheet, and some febreeze.

So much chat this morning! I only went out for breakfast!
Charity shops were rubbish. There was a quite nice plain New Look dress for £8, no way! My dad got a Pierre Cardin suit in his size for £9. Alright for some..

    I really like this look:

I'm still not sure if i'd suit a maxi dress though.

I'd love to be able to make my own clothes but we don't having a sewing machine at the moment.
I had so much to reply to and i've forgotten it all!

I do bu hate it, I can't get the tension right, I hate the bobbin, and it takes long er and winds me up, instead of winding thread on the bobbin. I make a few things but by hand.
  • lost u are a wise old bird :)

And u know I'm joking on the old bit as u are younger than me lol

oh back in the days when i used to wear jeans, i barely ever washed them lol

i find that things like vest tops, tshirts etc and underwear get put in the wash daily, including bras as i can't wear one for more than a day (was reading the bras thread yday lol, but i also can't sleep without one for some reason)..and then dresses get worn more than once, i have a four poster bed, and always leave the bedroom window opne, so usually hang up for a couple of days to air after i've worn a dress so it gets the breeze, before hanging in wardrobe / wearing again..prob too much info lol..

    It's this one Claire - http://www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+The-Individuals-Dress+LD114
I like it a lot but it's really weird, the back is plain black. I almost sent it back but I like the front so much (and actually the back but it is like 2 different dresses) I decided it was a keeper.

    Oh I forgot my outfit!
    I was wearing:
    Blue skinny jeans - primark
Long sleeved grey top - tesco maybe?
Grey knitted swallow jumper - topshop.

But I've come home and my legs ache so much i've had to take my jeans off and replace them with pink PJ bottoms. And I also took of my jumper and got back in to bed. :o
