It would be fun but imagine the pressure to pick an outfit for it!

Oh, I didn't think of that.
Still, I think I can be excused because I'm only a learner! :rotfl:

Anywhere with a railway station would be good for me - preferably on the East Coast Main Line.

As long as there's a train there, and with enough notice to get cheap train tickets I'd be happy to travel pretty much anywhere.

Retro, I'm oop north as well. I'm sure there's a few more of us on here as well, but I can't remember who.

I'm ooooop North! And very absent from this thread, but I do keep up (just) with your chatter!

I need a little help this evening, if any of you can offer it - I bought some gorgeous black and white polka dot peep toe heels from a charity shop for £3.99 the other day and am in total love with them. They're a gorgeous shape, nice heel height and are absurdly comfortable. The problem is, the black and white polka dots go with absolutely nothing in my wardrobe! I prefer them to be either plain black (thinking this would be the simplest option) or a blush pink shade (maybe impossible?!). Any ideas on dying them? They're a satin-type fabric material, slightly shiny, with a twisted bit on the toe.

And while I'm here, today I wore:

    Grey skinny jeans
    Grey tee
    Floral vest
Sequin waistcoat (later swapped for a green cardigan - cold arms!)
Tan leather strappy sandals (later swapped for pink leather flats - sore feet!)
    Wooden bangles
    Long gold hoop necklace
    Tan leather Fossil bag

    Hope you're all okay! :)

Might Sharpie work GG? I think you can get dye for fabric shoes, have a look on the shoe board on Craftster, bound to be something on there.

PF I'll get myself to yours and you can give me a lift too lol!

GG - I'd leave them polka dot! You don't want to end up ruining a pair of good shoes. Though i'm not creative at all.

A meet up sounds so much fun. But imagine the pressure on choosing an outfit!

    Hi Jen :)

Can't you just keep them as they are? Polka dots go with most things in a sort of gloriously clashy way. If they take dye then plain black is probably the best way forward - overdying them a pale colour might be tricky.

So the consensus seems to be leave them polka dot?! Okay... I'm gonna incorporate them into one of my outfits this week and you can all tell me what you think. I'm half convinced! :)

I think you should leave them - I agree with Alex, polka dots go with most things. I thought you meant you wanted to change the colour of the dots which would be ok as long as you picked the right colour to go with your things.

    I've been Money Tipped!
re outfits for a meet up: yes...scary but will not wear the holey gold footless tights and blue shorts combo. :)

Felling muh better this morning (hurrah) desite being edged out of the bed by the dog. Poor little thing: the dogs are really upset, first of all losing cleer, then the next day my dog got bitten by another dog....:(

I have loads, and loads and loads of laundry to do, hope I haven't missed the last of the sun.

GG its so good to see you here again. Definitely polka dot should stay.
